Rexler brath:

HLC

Swarm tactics

46

Sigma squadron:

Fleet officer

FCS

HI

Backstabber:

HU

So I'm experimenting with lists that include fleet officer and I wondered if taking something other than a shuttle could work.

Tell me what you think about the list please all criticism welcome.

The stress from Fleet Officer is going to be rough on that Sigma.

The stress from Fleet Officer is going to be rough on that Sigma.

It's not going to cloak it's there to buff rexler and add firepower so it'll be fine going straight and banking was my thinking.

very bad list, and here's why.

>> you only have 3 ships, and 2 of them (the not-Defender) are very squishy

>> your Rexler and Sigma needs to stay very close with each other. This means that you are unable to attack from multiple directions (at most a pincer, backstabber from left, team rexler from right), and that cuts away the main advantage of low numbered small ship imperial lists. very very bad decision. Combine this point with the squishyness mentioned, if your opponent is facing your squad, you will get blown up very very quickly until only Rexler is left. It is highly likely that both sigma and backstabber would die in just 1 round of shooting.if going head on, and because of your team's nature, you have no choice but to stick together, and thus end up going head on against the enemy.

>> Sigma is going to find it extremely difficult to deal with the stress with a TIE fighter dial.

>> I'm not sure you want to spend that much points on a Rexler HLC that must depend on your Sigma to pull off his ability. Once Sigma dies, Rexler's swarm tactics is basically useless, and you are back with the problem of not being able to trigger his ability often. There's also the issue of whether HLC is really justified on a Defender, but that's another discussion for another thread

If you must fly this list, I would swap Backstabber for Black TIE + wingman, switch Swarm Tactics for Decoy. That way, Rexler can fire last, which means he is a lot more likely to get damage cards thru to the target since the shields and focus tokens are already gone, hence he is a lot more likely to get to trigger his ability. Wingman to deal with stress for Sigma, and can also let the Defender pull off hard turn 1s every now and then. Also, I'd shift the hull upgrade over to Rexler, the Defender can get extremely squishy sometimes, when the green dice fails you

What about:

Rexlar w/Predator + HLC

Carnor Jax w/PTL

OMG w/Fleet Officer

OMG can pass Rexlar a second focus so he can use a Predator reroll and Focus to modify his attack and still have a Focus to flip up cards. Jax is PS 8 so he can shoot before Rexlar to peel off shields while he gets up next to Rexlar's target to deny defensive Focus and Evade use.

OP mentioned that he was exploring fleet officer NOT on shuttle

I feel that fleet officer is better on the patrol Decimator anyway, since your fleet officer would ideally want to be positioned in the middle of things for the maximum reach, and the Decimator has the hp and 360deg to make it best suited for doing this, compared to the Shuttle.

Of course, the Shuttle is nearly half the price.....

Problem is the shuttle really isn't compatible with the defender movement wise, not a big issue early on but mid to late game it will be, also I suck with the shuttle.

Who in the hell reads the OP before replying? I apparently don't.

And I respect that kind of attitude keep fighting the man, unless it's the emperor then you should bow to his will and help him bring peace and justice to a chaotic galaxy.
