I have never played a ship defensivly, I think thats what its for.
So how should I start? Working with what I have.
My ships are listed in my signature below.
Finally got my first YT 1300, gotta build with what I have, suggestions?
I'd go with the classic Han Shot First. This doesn't include any upgrades you don't own.

Han Solo (57) YT-1300 (46), Marksmanship (3), Luke Skywalker (7), Millenium Falcon (1)
If you have the Imperial Aces you could swap Marksmanship for Push the Limit then put Nien Numb on to help sheed stress.
As far as it being defensive, you're thinking of a Fat Han build, and that will require upgrades you don't have access to. With this build you use Han's reroll ability and Luke to make sure you land hits in each time.

I don't own the Tantive so I can't use those cards.

Sadly they do not sell individual cards from either of the huge ships, so no C-3PO singles

They have in the past (but maybe not, I cant remember)
I understand not wanting to break open a $80 sale to sell the cards separately

Han Solo w/ Luke, Chewbacca and the Falcon Title
and 2 Rookie Pilots
Nice, simple, and effective.
Or you could drop Luke down to a Gunner and replace both rookies with blue squadron b-wings.
I just recently did well with Han Solo, Falcon title, Push the Limit, Kyle Katarn crew, Nien Numb crew. It worked pretty good, tooks down several Phantoms over the course of the day. Afterward, it was suggested to replace Nien with Jan Orrs crew (I don't have C-3PO so can't make the traditional combo)

Yeah, I like the idea of this build, and I have the cards so I gotta give it a try.

Hmmm! That sounds good to, I have never tried my HWK so I could get that to the table.
