So if you are REQUIRED to fire on Biggs but are blocked by a big base ship. Does the big base ship take the damage? or is it just not allowed? I can see a new strategy with a couple of the cheapest big base ships with Biggs tucked in behind... haven't experimented with that build yet... dont know if its possible to even field Two Big base ships AND Biggs at 100 points. but if so man that would make one massive wall to hide behind!!!

If a ship equipped with TJ blocks a shot on Biggs then your opponent can simply choose a different target. Which entirely defeats the object of using Biggs in the first place - you WANT your opponent to be forced to attack Biggs at the expense of more dangerous / softer targets - that's his job
Except Tactical Jammer can never keep you from targeting Biggs. It just gives him an extra green die.
So yes, if the ship with TJ obstructs your shot on Biggs and is within range 1 of Biggs then you cannot target the TJ ship when you could take the obstructed shot at Biggs. You could fire at a different ship that wasn't range 1 from Biggs though.

yeah for some reason I was thinking totally Blocks shots... doh..
Also worth pointing out that obstructed is a binary condition, you are either obstructed or you aren't. Firing through 2 ships with tactical Jammer and an asteroid still only adds a single green die (although reference the EM Emitter for huge ships for an exception)
You can field 2 Outer Rim Smugglers (27 pts each) and make them into flying asteroids with Tactical Jammer and have Biggs fly behind them. With enough points for upgrades or extra Z-95 for 100pts.
But it is still just one more green die for Biggs despite 2 ships.

ORS is terrible, why would you want 2 of them? They hit as hard as an A-wing....
