VT-49 Stress Factory

This might not be any good, but I'd fly it at least once just to see how it plays.

VT-49 with the following crew:

The FAQ clarifies that two tacticians would trigger twice.

I tried a tactician on the decimator. didn't like it. I found the firing arc restriction too restrictive, once it gets past the targets it takes forever to turn around and needs the 360 arc. Mara works nicely with it though. If you do try the double tacticians, I would try and work in an engine upgrade and the necessary actions to use it so that you can get turned around and bring your arc of fire to bear more easily.

On the plus side, it would mean that your opponent can't just avoid the stress by rushing to Range 1, but on the other hand you are taking a turreted ship and forcing it to try and keep its targets in arc.

I wonder if this might pair up with the Ion Torpedo actually. If you can get that off at range 2 with this build, your target will be ionised and double stressed, and if they were part of a formation that has managed to get some members into range 1, they will also be ionised and stressed. If the opponent wants to get a formation into range 1 of you, they have to be very careful not to let any stragglers remain in range 2.

Does tactician trigger for blast weapons? I didn't know. And if it does, then does that make intimidation op?

Tactician would trigger for the target of a blast weapon, but not for the other ships within range 1 that also suffer an effect.

However:

Say you have a formation of fighters that have tried to make it into range 1 of the decimator - there's a good chance that one of the strgglers will be still be out in range 2. By targetting the rearmost fighter, you will ionise and stress it. The rest of the formation that did make it into range 1 of the decimator are most likely still within range 1 of the target, and as such will also be ionised (as well as stressed due to being at range 1 of the decimator).

swap a tactician for Rebel Captive. Now you got a stress factory.

Don't forget a single flechete torpedo. That's a range 3 stress or a range 2 double stress.

How about Rebel Captive?

On Oicunn.

Go toward somebody, attack them or get near them, they get a stress. If they attack you back, they get another stress.

Then have your escorts behind you around an R1 area so that he cant fly past you. Ram him again. Stress him again.

loving all these ideas for the Deci!!
