Team Covenant 3 hour play session - discussion, questions, spoilers!

By Armandhammer, in Star Wars: Imperial Assault

Maybe this is a sacrilegious comparison to make, but it reminds me a little bit of a video game, in that it has co-op and competitive modes.

Excellent post, you pretty much summed up my reasons for purchasing IA.

I'm the "enlightened" one in my gaming group (the one who introduced the world of board/miniatures games that weren't Clue and Monopoly) and Imperial Assault is a perfect example of a game that captures that video game like addiction in a box: great looking models, grounded gameplay mechanics, map exploration, exciting scripted events, expansive player upgrades and a neat little story attached to the whole thing.

I just can't wait to show it off with my group! :D

Thanks. I'm no visionary among my gaming friends as far as miniatures games go, though. Magic is the top dog at my favorite local gaming store, but they don't have enough appropriate table space for everyone to play at once on X-Wing night. They only really have room for three games to run at once, and the table fills up quickly.

I'm sure I won't have trouble finding four saps to crush beneath my Imperial might ... er, what I meant to say was four heroes to save the galaxy ... in the campaign mode.

You had it right the first time around loyal citizen of The Empire.

The Imperial Inquisitorius is delighted that your "re education" [ cough ,brainwashing, cough ] is holding.

Part 4 is up!

Gonna give it a watch later tonight.

They did Blast wrong in first video near end of turn five. The shot did no damage to original target so Blast wasn't an option.

Angles of video could be better but not really sure what they could do since its a live feed.

I sat and watched all the videos and I have to say I am impressed with the game, and it fun to see others learning as they go along, only downside where is Video 5!

I would like to see some skirmish videos more than campaign. Least then don't need to worry about spoilers.

In the scenarios they kept getting crates, however, at the end of the mission they didnt get bonus credits applied

Learn To Play Page 5 ".... During campaign, crates are worth credits at the end of the mission"

Rules Reference Guide Page 10 "During a campaign, at the end of each mission, heroes receive 50 credits for each crate token they claim during the mission"
