what would be the worst Pilot/Upgrade combos

a friend and I were trying to think of the worst/least effective combos of pilots and upgrades in the game.

the funniest and least sensible we could think of was Biggs with R2-D6 and Lone Wolf. hilariously pointless!

can you guys do any better?

Intimidation on anyone that isn't Arvel or Oicun.

edit: there used to be a game variant on BGG where each player would make the opponent's list, and they were meant to make the worst/funniest list.

this is pretty amusing, like some kind of sniper rifle. on the rare occasion it hits, it always does tons of damage :D

Put Vader on a Phantom...uses a bit more of a suicidal approach to killing your enemies.

Are you saying adding this without an upgrade card with the "action:" header? if so, that's not really a "bad combo" that's just a card that doesn't work. Might as well just say to add targeting computer to an x-wing

I would say it is horrible, because an interceptor without Push the Limit is horrible. By giving it Experimental Interface, it's implied that some "action" upgrade card will be in the EPT slot.

Academy Pilot with Munitions Failsafe

Non-Phantom with Stigyum Particle Accelerator.

Blount and munitions failsafe is objectively useless

Decimator with two Flight Instructors, Targeting Coordinator and a Stealth Device (yeah, TC is not limited to huge ships for some reason, but demands Energy)

edit: put Oicunn as the Decimator and add Adrenaline rush for those extra lolz

Green Squad + Squad Leader

Expose.

Any YT-1300 with Proton Rockets. Why bother? Actually, you might as well extend that to Firesprays as well.

The YT actually manages to reduce its R1 attack with Prockets.

Has subjective uses elsewhere - but admittedly other options are cheaper/just better.

This said, exposes uses an action, which makes it a lot less useful for it's cost.

Still range 1 5 attack dice.....

Or 4 attack with target lock.

Passable, but awesome? Is it? Stress HLC that costs you your Range 3 die. I'm not as keen on it as everyone else is.

You know Experimental Interface on Fel would be great actually.

Marksmanship, EI.

Takes an evade/boost/roll, EI's for Marksmanship, gets a totally defensive focus from the stress token.

Sacrifices the Stealth Device option most people run, but I wanna try it out in my next game for sure. Even just for a laugh.
