Some time ago I remember seeing a picture of some TIE series ships, I'm pretty sure there was a defender, that had been repainted in a purple color scheme.
I unfortunate forgot to save that page. Anyone know where such a picture is?

Yes it was on here, and yes I have tried searching, couldn't find it, but then google doesn't like me.
I remember the picture was posted as part of a larger thread and that it was the last post on a page in the middle of the thread.

I thought it predated that thread but that description sounds right so I could be wrong. I'll start going through it a page at a time and see.

If I remember correctly, which isn't always the case , it was in its on thread and someone suggested to add it there and the stand alone thread quickly fell down the thread pages. I wish I could remember what the original thread was called. I know it was a poster from outside the U.S. and I don't recall ever seeing any more posts from that user. But man if we are talking about the same pics then that was some truly amazing work. I found it hard to believe it was airbrush when he described the technique that was used. If you find them please add a link, there were a couple of those id like to shoe to a buddy of mine.

Nope. Though that is beautiful work it's not the one I was looking for.
These were PURPLE! Almost like someone took a studio picture of 4 tie craft and photoshopped the blue/gray to be royal purple, it was stunning.

Guess I haven't seen those. I honestly thought one if these were purple but that was based off my memory, which isn't all that good sometimes.

Well this is not the picture I remember, but that is more or less what the paint job looked liked. Are those actually painted gabe (and if so, did you do them) or did you do a quick photoshop in response to my question?
