Blood of Numenor, Gondorian Fire and Boromir combo

By Arie90, in Strategy and deck-building

Here is the deck:

1 Glorfindel
1 Boromir (tactics)
1 Théodred

Ally
3 Ethir Swordsman
1 Arwen Undómiel
3 Galadriel's Handmaiden
3 Squire of the Citadel
2 Errand-rider
1 Galadriel
1 Gandalf
1 Bilbo Baggins

Attachment
3 Blood of Númenor
3 Rivendell Blade
3 Gondorian Shield
3 Gondorian Fire
3 Steward of Gondor
3 Celebrían's Stone
3 Ancient Mathom
1 Miruvor
3 Light of Valinor

Event
3 A Test of Will
3 Elrond's Counsel
1 Lay of Nimrodel

3 Gondorian Discipline

I'm not sure about the new Galadriel ally, but after all in this deck there are 25 attachments.... Lay of Nimrodel in the end game is like 10+ quest power.

I used to play a similar deck. In my case I was playing Eowyn instead of Glorfindel. As soon as Boromir gets a Blood of Númenor, a Gondorian Fire, and it has 3-4 resources it seems like you are cheating. Are you using the Hobbit version of Gandalf or the core set one? In my deck I used the core one, and 3 sneak attack to have acces to more threat reduction. (And I used Galadhrim's greeting instead of Elrond's Counsel).

Any special reason to play BIlbo instead of , for example, west road traveller, which costs also 2 and have an interesting ability?

You put Gondorian Discipline into the wrong category. I'm also surprised to not see Light of Valinor. You must really hope to win quickly. :)

Light of Valinor was under "ally". West road traveller is an option, Galadhrim greeting is to hefty, in my opinion, for a single spirit hero. I'm a little bit tired of "sneak attack" and Gandalf....but it's definitely a powerful combination.

Here is a revised version:

Hero

1 Glorfindel (spirit)
1 Boromir (tactics)
1 Théodred

Ally

3 Ethir Swordsman
1 Arwen Undómiel
3 Galadriel's Handmaiden
3 Squire of the Citadel
2 Galadriel
3 Gandalf (Core)
1 Bilbo Baggins
1 West road traveller

Event
3 A Test of Will
3 Elrond's Counsel
1 Lay of Nimrodel
3 Sneak Attack

Attachment

3 Blood of Númenor
3 Rivendell Blade
3 Gondorian Shield
3 Gondorian Fire
3 Steward of Gondor
2 Celebrían's Stone
3 Ancient Mathom
3 Light of Valinor

Tracker posted a deck called "Boromir's Fire" a while back. He puts in Loragorn for threat reduction of Boromir I believe, but the basic idea is the same.
