E ZZZZ List

By BCooper85, in X-Wing

Hey guys,

I've put a list together that I seem to do pretty well with and I just wanted your thoughts on it.

Corran with R2, FCS, PtL and EU = 45pts

Airen Cracken = 19pts

3 x Bandits = 36pts

Apart from the cost of Corran what do you see as it's weaknesses and how would you counter them?

I've got a tournament in a few weeks so really want to lock things down so I can just practice.

Thanks!

I would replace the fire control system with advance sensors then add rd-d2. Airen is then replaced with a cheap z95. I'd have 2 bandits and 2 talas for 99 pts to try and get the initiative choice.

My reasoning is maximum manoeuvrability and end game splendiness for Corran.

The enemy need to take him out whilst there's enough firepower on the table or he'll win the end game.

I've played the above once in 3 player game. It was very enjoyable moving after Echo and arc dodging him.

For E's and Z's, I have found nothing works better than Etahn and 5 Bandits. That amount of ships makes the most of his ability.

I ran Corran, King of Bandits yesterday at a tourney

Corran (35)

-Vet Instincts (1)

-Fire Control System (2)

-R7 Astromech (2)

-Bandit Sq Pilot (12)

-x5 (60)

Did surprisingly well, with the 5 bandits just barreling straight towards whatever my opponent brought and Horn swinging around the flank

I love the FCS/R7 combo. It is a bit situational though as the more ships you're facing, the less useful it becomes.

Thanks guys, is there any particular list that I need to be worried about?

Seconded. Etahn is the nearest things the rebels have to Howlrunner and the more ships you can run with him the better.

Do you kit him out to 40 pts? Thinking R2D2 and Ptl is solid and should keep him alive a bit, or maybe SJ?

I ran a similar squad at the canadian nationals but I fitted my z's with missiles to help with ionizing large ships or punching low agility ships. My squad was:

Etahn a'baht (32)

Predator (3)

Fire-control system (2)

Stealth device (3)

Bandit squadron pilot (12) (x2)

Proton rockets (3)

Bandit squadron pilot (12) (x2)

Ion pulse missiles (3)

I have found Coran, R2-D2, FCS, PTL and EU along with 4 tala's a very competitive list. Coran is tough to kill and the Tala's can be surprisingly durable.

Yup, R2-D2 and PTL is what I go with.
