New S&V tactic: Bomb Slinging

So everyone has been talking about Emon and uses that come to the table with the 3 template and andraste Title. To get the mots effectiveness out of Emon you don't need a multitude of upgrades.

Just use bomb slinging.

The idea for this tactic is simple, place all 3 of your asteroids on your opponent's side. Then find a space where Emon can do a 4k Flip right at the start of the match. (that is directly across from starting forces.) Your first move of the match will be a 4k Flip, if your opponent burns forward there might be some shots but nothing that would kill your firespray. If he stays back (say a 1 forward) get ready for engagement. The following turn sling forward your bomb straight into your enemies pile.

Using a proton bomb in this example can kill phantoms, a-wings, z95's, skycks, and cripple many of the smaller ships. The great thing about this tactic is that it forces any ship facing right at emon to divert his movement on the SECOND turn. Even ships that are slightly off can get hit by the 3(turn) template making the entirety of jousting with this ship dangerous for small craft.

I did some movement testing in vassal and Emon has a lot of target/placement options causing havoc to current flying formations.

Xizor can use the Binayre Pirate as DTF fodder and gunner helps ensure the accuracy of Emon.

That's pretty cool. From your starting position, the Bomb gets flung 9 ship lengths toward your opponent, with a further 2.5 for blast radius.

After some experimentation, I think this is actually a viable Y-wing tactic as well.

Not the total slinging distance, but Gold+Bomb Loadout+Seismic+ICT at 25pts. Pull off the K-turn, ion a ship into your drop zone, then bomb it and run away.

edit: and of course it works with Thug Y-wings as well.

Could have very high payouts and as said before could work with Ionizing bomb y-wings. Yes...I am trying this.

Fun. I used to do similar things with a BH in turn 2 anyway with seismics if someone was rushing it. If you are chasing a firespray unless you have superior firepower it is probably winning.

I would maybe set up asteroids like a wall then use the bomb ability to fill up the gaps with proximity mines.

Then stay behind the wall taking taking pot shots with Hwks Y-wing Ion cannons.

problem is you can't 4k then the next turn drop the bombs before you move, if I could drop the proxy mines like the way you can proton bombs I would do it
