Rounds are NOT one minute long!

What about it?

I think he's just fussing because the rounds in this system aren't a hard set duration, so people generally round off to about a minute. A round can last as short or as long as it needs to determined by the actions taken and the resulting roll results. Typically this can be anywhere from a minute or so, to a few seconds.

Since other systems have rounds be about 5 seconds or so this bothers people... I guess... because... reasons...

um, ok...

Rule of Cool my dear friend. Rule of Cool... XD

The general (personal) sensation based in some perception, descriptions and explanations is that a personal scale round is a variable time between 1-5 minutes.

There isn't a fixed value so, until another interpretation, I like this idea. The only sure thing is that 6 seconds aren't a round XD

So, roll dices, check results, put an awesome soundtrack and begin to distribute Advantages, Threats and the rest. And the most important, enjoy the moment :D

They aren't delineated but the rules say they can last roughly that long. Really just depends on what is occurring.

Rounds last anywhere from seconds to minutes depending on the requirements of the plot.

"The only reason for time is so that everything doesn't happen at once." - Albert Einstine

Rounds are three minutes long.

(We're talking about boxing, right?)

No, he is being a smart A$$ because I "corrected" Col Orange on an other thread were the Col said "combat rounds represent one minute". he did not like the fact that i went "off topic"' to talk about it.

But hey dude, whatever.

NO All threads MUST remain on topic. So lets get to the real meat here:

Was Watto lying when he said that Toydarians are immune to the force, but easily bribed? Because George Lucas called me and said if we don't settle this he's coming to my house and taking my books away.

Also, in case you were wondering, yes, on the phone George does sounds kinda like my little sister doing her "boy voice".

So in Rebels, Who is Fulcrum? I think it's going to be Salacious B. Crumb...because of of the Crum/Crumb part.

We all know the writers of the show are not too bright, so they have to resort to that kind shenanigans...

Terrify so deserves that Conflict point every session. I don't even know why we're debating this.

No no no, Fulcrum is Watto. That was his stage name when he was in the band Fulcrum and the Midiclorians. It's so obvious.

I use to fail my Intellect and Cunning roll in this cases (all of them in general XD), so...

WHAT?!? XD

I'm seeing some confusion here between "rounds" and "turns". A Round is how long it takes to complete everyone's actions once. This is about a minute. A Turn is each actor's time in that round. Mechanically, if a round is "about a minute", then turns are "about a minute" divided by the number of actors. However, it's also noted that while mechanically each turn is handled in a specific order, narratively all the turns are roughly happening at the same time. So there can be considerable overlap between actor's turns if that's what the narrative requires.

All this is explained on page 198.

Were you remembering to apply soak?

But when reading page 198 of the ECRB you have to do it in a girls "boy voice" other wise you have to be a roadie for Watto and the Midiclorians. But When they had Firgin D'an, they were Watto and the Midclorian Counts.

Soak from armor stacks, right?

Only if the armor is Mandalorian.

Also, I apparently am the only one out there that thinks Fulcrum might be Wedge. It kind of makes sense.

Fulcrum is also mentioned in the show The Blacklist. A "list" of information.

There is something... something much deeper going on than we could possibly imagine.

I dunno, guys. I think it would make life simpler if all the lightsaber specializations were Shii-Cho. All the others are just window dressing.

The important thing is ABOUT a minute. It is not a hard number. but when you consider you have about a minute many things make more sense. Like movement where you can cover significant distances and still do an action.

I like eggs.
