The Deep Realms Expansion
Awesome!
Looking at these boardlet spaces, I am guessing these add some amount of game balancing to the Dungeon and especially the City. Based on this little info, I'm thinking that Treasure Cards are randomly placed on the Wraith Lord space during setup, meaning that is where the Cloak of Feathers may end up. More importantly, if random Armoury and Magic Emporium Cards are placed on the Rat Queen space during setup, it's no longer an easy trip to the City to stockpile Flails and Spellbooks. The Rat Queen may be bedding on them! I would very much like to see this in action.
Of course, I may be utterly wrong, but the mention of Objects and Treasures adding to the Rat Queen and Wraith Lord stats makes me think this may very well be the case.

I hope so. It would suck if killing the Craft 4 Wraith allowed you to draw a Treasure Card and hence get the Cloak of Feathers easier!
Even if he's Craft 5, or 6 still kind of easy but....
It looks like you have to make a large cycle around the city, then you are in that space before his for a couple of turns. And so far, the monsters in his deck don't look as friendly as he does

Have to wait and see. A cycle around the city is still less than a cycle around to defeat the Dungeon Boss, and you get to pick up some weapons on the way! We'll have to wait and see how it plays.
We can always house rule if it seems OP. It's only a concern if there is no/easy alternating ending anyway.
Yeah my concern is more that the deck has 20 cards. Then you draw three of them. The odds of pulling that Stygian Talisman seem pretty good. Then again the odds of pulling that craft 10 dragon.... that works like the Lich and Succubus...seem pretty good. At least I know where my Dragon Rider is headed
Actually I believe the Wraith is connected to the Dungeon Board and the Rat Queen to the City. The preview is a bit misleading but I think those two cards will be connect upside down from how they are viewed on the web preview.

Those two cards are shown as if the board is oriented so the Tavern-City long edge is closest to you. The Dungeon would be on your left, and the City would be on your right, as are the cards in the preview. If you want to reach the Wraith Lord from the City, the quickest way is to cross the bridge into the Dungeon, then go through the Catacombs and into the Throne Room.
TalismanIsland has another preview up, this time a trap card. With 40 cards consisting of 2 decks of 20 cards each and the unique drawing mechanic for one of the decks, im curious what the trap cards do.
Is the release date for this before xmas?
As reported above, the Upcoming page says Q4 2014. Release dates are subject to many factors though!

What happened to Deep Realms? They disappeared from the Upcoming page and in the Talisman minisite the expansion has been flagged with "Buy Now!", but in the online store its status is "not yet released".
Does it mean things are getting a move on?

It has been in the limbo for more than a week. "Buy now" is lit but in the Shop it is listed as "Not yet released".
As Warlock stated it still appears to be in Limbo. It says buy it now but when you click on that, it says "availability: not yet released"

I honestly can't agree that I could meet your timetable but wouldn't mind seeing more information on the subject. Do I have to submit them with their artwork and "look" of a character card like I've seen? That would be hard for me I think. I've very busy with the holiday and stuff. But on the other hand - - ~~~~ who hasn't thought of character types they'd like to play?
