An interesting build. Is it any good?

100 points on the nose. 5 ships shooting as Level 12, until Roark dies, at which point it's 4 ships shooting as Level 7, which still ain't half bad.

Once the Autoblaster Turret comes out, you could easily use it and a 3 point crew/title/mod on Roark, to make him a bit tanker.

It theoretically works even better if you can cross faction: Black Squadron + Swarm is 3 points cheaper than the Green version, though Mauler's cost is the same as Blount's.

I personally would have no faith in it, due to the gimmick of the PS 12 chain requiring specific positioning and that all the PS 12s are 2 dice (or 1 damage in Roark's case) ships lacking additional modifiers

Imo, the Imperials can pull it off more efficiently (albeit at lower PS) because of Howlrunner's support and because the named Tie characters are much more offensive ships than generic As and Blount.

So, shooting first is legit, but the ships are predictable and the dice will basically be left to their own devices

Flying A wings in formation with a Z is not only tricky, but reduces a key strength of theirs; mobility. Without formation, the chain fails.

I may put Decoy on Blount instead. It gives him a longer range to hook the PS over to the A-Wings, and if he's actually in formation with them, he can still get a Swarm to boost himself, once Garnet's dead.

Until then, having 4 12s and a 7 is still pretty nice.
