Looking for Legolas decks

By dragonwarriorfan, in Strategy and deck-building

Anyone have a good Legolas deck to share? I'm looking for something that plays well in solo (one handed) and uses mostly Core, Mirkwoood, Dwarrowdelf.

Thanks!

To be honest I think Legolas is really good hero but not in solo. Maybe im wrong but I still didn manage to make some serious solo deck with hih for many reasons…..

Yeah he absolutely shines in two handed play for me but solo I can't see him being all that great..

When I build tactics decks, I find it hard not to put him in these decks :D

Such low starting threat for tactics + 3 basic attack + ranged.

I thought about pairing him with Hobbits, but I can't quite get the willpower high enough.

RE: Great Yew Bow, I like the idea there. I wonder how Haldir might work instead of Bofur with a couple of other changes from the new card pool? Maybe even Idrean for Glorfindel? The latter would kill the elven theme, but add more readying and encounter control.

Give it a try. I've wanted to update that deck, since many of the new cards can really make it much better.

Or Galadriel,Glorfindel,Legolas. You get access to lore by Nenya and more threadreduction + carddraw from Galadriel (or Willpower with Nenya if needed).

Yes... I used to run Elrond - Legolas - Glorfindel, Defeated all the older quests with it... some needed a few attempts at some or the right Hero taken prisoner...though I haven't recorded the details any where... i'm going to try and recreate and post it.

Okay so I don't remember exactly sorry:( However all options - aside from the Hobbit Gandalf are from first two sets.

Hero: (3)

1x Core Legolas

1x SaF Elrond

1x FoS Glorfindel

Ally: (21)

1x THoEM Gildor Inglorion

1x AJtR Haldir of Lorien

1x TDM Elfhelm

2x TWitW Arwen Undomiel

2x Core Henamarth Riversong

2x FoS Imladris Stargazer

3x RtM West Road Traveller

3x SaF Master of the Forge

2x Core Northern Tracker

2x Hobbit Gandalf

2x TLD Warden of Healing

Attachment: (15)

3x RtR Rivendell Blade

3x FoS Light of Valinor

1x FoS Asfaloth

2x CatC A Burning Brand

3x SaF Vilya

1x Core Protector of Lorien

2x Core Unexpected Courage

Event: (14)

3x TWitW Elrond's Counsel

3x Core Feint

3x SaF Hands Upon the Bow

3x Core A Test of Will

2x Galadhrim Greeting

Side board options:

<> Miner of the Iron hills for quests with pesky conditions - would use power of the Orthanic now

<> Beorn/Farmir/Erestor as Vilya targets to replace Elfheim/Haldir - Haldir for quests where only ranged att/def

<> if you don't include Hobbit Gandalf then consider adding a couple of songs for Legolas, or if you like core Gandalf instead then i'd remove Galadhrim Greeting as well. - and you could add in 1x support of Eagles + 3x vassal of the wind Lord. - Boost for Legolas/chumps (if you removed Gandalf/Galadhrim)

<> add a third Unexpected courage - Elrond can then quest and defend or defend twice and still use Vilya

Set up:

An ideal opening hand would include: both Light of Valinor and Elrond's Counsel, Vilya or at least Master of the Forge, Arwen Undomiel (or West Road Traveller) and Rivendell Blades.

LoV and Elrond's council are the most important as this deck can take a while to build up.

This is great. I'll build and give it a try. The high threat concerned me at first, but I see plenty of options of dealing with it. I also may sub a Blades of Gondolin in there for the Rivendell Blade for high location scenarios.
