Dooku could have just been using Protect on himself. Dark-siders can do that. He doesn't redirect it; he just "protects" himself from it.

Yeah, I was looking at that later myself, and figured Dooku might have been cagey enough to set Protect up, flipping a Destiny Point so that he could use Unleash as a maneuver on that turn, and that the second blast that Yoda just stopped cold was just a part of the the narrative exchange to make Yoda look badass; after all, Dooku just curb-stomped the two main heroes, Anakin and Obi-Wan with relative ease, and Yoda hasn't even drawn his lightsaber yet.
