Honestly, the thing I'm most excited about right now is the fact that we're finally going to get official stats for the YT-2000.

Bout time for some EoE news. Glad Gunslinger went into Smuggler and not BH. Hopefully Q1 release means Jan and not Mar.

I'm really looking forward to this one. I'm hoping it will fill some of the role that was filled some of the roll that was filled by the Tramp Freighters book from WEG. I'm curious what species will be included, I didn't see it listed and was trying to decipher from the pictures.

It's from X-wing Alliance. My guess is it's HP will be in the same ballpark as the 1300. Though it'll be interesting to see what makes it "temperamental" and what the means in game terms.

Looks great. The Specialisations look good - we knew 'Gambler' was likely, and to add to it we get 'shooty smuggler' for the Han Solo type tough guys, and 'talky smuggler' for those smooth Lando types. Covers all the archetypes of the career, I think.

Now, let's talk about species. Are we gonna keep scraping that barrel, FFG? What delights await us? Have you really scoured those cantina/Jabba's skiff/podrace crowd scenes, to give us something as hideous as it is obscure?

What races thematically suit the smooth Peter Quill daredevil career?

I'm calling it now: Lamproid, Amani, Laboi (look it up, I dare you!)

Seriously, FFG - can we have ONE species that my group will actually want to play? ONE species that might actually get a lead in a movie or a TV show, instead of just making up the numbers in a crowd scene?

So what species seem likely? Is there an 'iconic' smuggler race? The picture has a Gotal and a Falleen, right? Falleen are cool. I'd take that, and they seem fitting for a smooth-talking criminal character.

Where are the canon detail people? The female image on the cover looks like an elf with jaundice to me.

Which one was the Faleen? I dunno what other species they would throw in. They already have Bothans so who else?

Interesting that we've got several EotE books in the queue, but only one upcoming AoR book. Clearly the Rebel line is DOOMED!

Let me try and be clear, I'm glad the Gunslinger spec, was included in the Smuggler career book and not the Bounty Hunter career book.

I assumed with the crazy eyebrows and yellow skin she was something else. Maybe she's a jaundiced human that gets her eyebrows plucked....?

I want the EoE books period. I have come to the conclusion it is just the setting I prefer playing the game in. I enjoy and take ownership of the characters far more than in AoR or F&D.

From the pictures in the article it looks like maybe a falleen and, is that a gotal maybe?

I hate to be a buzzkill, but I'm betting at least one of the Species will be Sullustan. I know a lot of folks hate the duplicate species between the game lines but they are super-recognizable and consummate pilots. We've only got them in AoR so far, so I'm betting on the Smuggler book to bring them to EotE.
