Also, I believe bolter mastery gives you an extra +10 to ballistic skill when using a bolter, Davin.

Cletian will go after the crisis suit. I completely spaced rolling his init.

Also, both of you get an extra damage roll. Semi-Auto says you get 1 hit for passing the BS test, then one extra hit per 2 degrees of success up to the rate of fire. Both of you hit 6+ DoS, so each of you get 1 more damage. Just edit it in to your posts.

OOC(Shadow)-Yeah i forgot that not like it really matter lol. Location for your hits starte on the location of your BS check reversed. You rolled an 05 which mean you start hitting on body location 50 (flipping the dice). I believe that is either body or left arm. Dont have my sheet infront of me to confirm location.

(Mike)- According to Errata Godwynn patter bolters have a Rate of Fire of S/3/- Both Shadow and myself scored the maximum nuber of hits allowed.

OOC- Davin- the errata does not change the rules regarding the Semi-auto combat action.

Core rules pg 242, left column, bottom paragraph. 5 lines from the bottom of the page:

"If he succeeds the attack scores a hit normally. Furthermore, every 2 degrees of success score an extra hit. Extra hits scored in this manner cannot exceed the weapons semi-automatic rate of fire."

Therefore you get 1 hit for passing the bs test and 3 more hits for passing with awesomeness. Geez, I didnt think it would be so hard to get people to take more damage.

OOC - I thought it meant total hits, but if your you're interpreting it that way, then my fourth shot dealt 23 Pen 4. (Woot! Righteous Fury!)

The hail of bolt shells patters the crisis suit through the foliage, staggering it and drawing blood.

The crisis pilot turned his attention against Claudius, unleashing punishing plasma fire from an arm mounted weapon. However, his shots went wide.

Cletian raises his bolter and let fly, but his shots failed to draW blood.

Ooc- Cornelius action

Tomorrow the turn will advance with or without Cornelius' acting.

Fair warning: If Cornelius continues to be absent, he will be killed off in a most gruesome (and entertaining) manner.

OOC- Oh yep. I completely confused Cornelus and Pluvius. Cornelius is safe from non-playing death. Pluvius is on the chopping block if he fails to play. Pluvius current turn is forfeit as I do not wish to wait. Re-initiative-it is a good idea to keep initiative across an entire fight. Saves time.

So- shadow and davin go first, followed by stealth suit, then cletian and pluvius. I am out of tim, I will resolve shots in a while

EDIT- holy heck, talk about GM playing his hand early! So, Initiative order order is:

Claudius and Cornelius, who bot act before the Crisis Suit (I do not particularly care whom of the two of you goes first), then Crisis suit, then Cletian and Pluvius.

Should Pluvius fail to act again this round he will be in great danger of being summarily executed.

IC- Cornelius' firing drew little more blood, but the Crisis suit still took a hit.

IC- Cladius switches his fire selector over to one of his magazines of Kraken rounds and leta fly with another burst of shots. As two of his rounds hit he chastizes himself and assigns himself 8 hrs at the firing range when he returns to the Watch Station.

The Crisis suit staggers -- the new round of bolter fire has done some serious damage, with heavy penetration through the armour -- and drops to one knee. It struggles to raise its plasma rifle, and before it can accomplish the task, the suit erupts in a massive fireball, spraying debris across a large area, though not large enough that any marines are hurt.

In the wake of the fireball, Cletian approaches Cornelius and Cladius. "Brothers, they know we are here, and no doubt the xenos contacted his allies. The explosion will draw them on. We should move."

Cornelius gives a quick nod and motions for the team to resume its march through the jungle, increasing the pace from before.
