Does someone have a few paragraph description of the game setting around the Screaming Vortex?

The reason I am asking is that I have a half a page of space to mention the background of the Black Crusade gaming world. This info is going into a Black Crusade Player Introduction document.

Everythign I ahve so far seen is too long or long winded.
