Alternative way to get rid of the Hag, Jester and poltergeist

By Mr. Brogger, in Talisman Rules Questions

Is it possible to get rid of the negative followers in example the Chasm or cell in the dungeon etc. ?

Yes you can. See the bottom of the thread called PAIR OF DUNGEON QUESTIONS.

Ok, thx a lot gui%C3%B1o.gif

Yes, if you have the hag you can lock her up in the cell right away because you have no other followers.

If you have the poltergeist and jester, then you must discard first your other followers before you can discard the poltergeist and jester.

If you are lucky and roll a 1-2 for the hag, jester, or poltergeist then you can discard them

I locked up the poltergeist in the cell in my last game. I entered the dungeon with 1 life. Everyone thought I wasn't going to make it to the cell alive. But, due to my great skill I survived! demonio.gif

You where lucky that you survived gran_risa.gif

I once play a game in third edition, when i landed with 1 life (due to a adventure card somewhere on one of the boards) in the vault in the Dungeon.

I was very lucky when i tried to run out of the dungeon. I really thought that i was going to die ! demonio.gif

In the right situation, the poltergeist can be very useful.

During my last game, I picked up the poltergeist on a space immediately next to a Fountain of Strength. Since the 'geist reduced my movement to 1 space per turn, I just kept moving back and forth into the Fountain space. I collected 3 strength tokens in all while the other players kept circling me, trying to get a lucky roll. Then one of the other players was turned into a toad, and I waltzed right into the city and took his stuff. It was well worth it.

I think there should be more cards that kill followers.

Yeah those situations are very useful when you have the poltergeist demonio.gif

that is exactley the sort of card i like to see, it may be bad at first glance but can also have a bonus effect, nice balance would like to see more like this.

Sure is a lot of fun when you pick up the poltergeist on the oasis space with one life and no water bottle llorando.gif

Cheers anyway.

My favorite poltergeist situation is when i shows up late in the game near the healer card when someone is making their move to the crown of command.

That would mean a draw because the player will not give up.. gui%C3%B1o.gif

In my last game of Talisman, the debate came up about the Poltergeist being a follower. Until it was pointed out that the cards themselves state the Poltergeist, Hag and Jester are Followers. gui%C3%B1o.gif
