As I wrote last time, I was 4-0 in my journey into X-Wing. Today I met up with my friend to play a few more games of X-Wing. I wanted to try out my new Y-wing and additional X-wing I got recently, so went with an XXXY list.
Garven w/ R2 astromech
Dutch w/ Ion Cannon and R7T1
2 Rookie X-Wings
I was up against 2 Firespray Bounty Hunters and an Onyx Squadron Tie Defender.
After the first movements, we were situated as such:

A few more turns went poorly for me, being initially caught out by the Firespray shooting to the rear (first time going against them), and poor maneuvering on my part.

One of the rookies went down pretty quickly, and I couldn't line up a shot for anything today... On the plus side, I took out the Defender pretty quickly.

The ions weren't really helpful during the game, due to my poor shooting with the X-Wings, and the fact that you need multiples to do anything.

In the end, I just had Dutch against 2 mostly undamaged Firesprays. It didn't turn out well.

Going for a second game to try and reclaim some of my shattered morale
I went with:
Lando - Nien Nunb
Luke Skywalker - R2D2
Red Squadron pilot
The only difference my opponent had this time was a Delta Squadron pilot Defender w/ engine upgrade.

Looking back, my setup basically put me in a bad spot from the get-go, but I was trying to focus on one ship while I had the chance. It didn't work.

I didn't take as many pictures this time, but I lost both X-Wings pretty early on, and my opponent managed to fly a Firespray off the table by mixing up his Firespray dials.

My YT-1300 was destroyed the next turn by the Firespray shooting through it's rear arc.
Overall it was still a fun experience, especially since there were other X-Wing players in the store this time watching and giving pointers after both matches. It was a lot of fun, and hopefully I'll be able to get out to the store more often (after I build up my rebel forces some more - 3 X wings, 1 Y wing, and 1 YT1300 are rather limiting right now).
