If you have a target lock on a ship at the start of the activation phase you may check the movement dial of that ship.

So what do you think? Do you think dial revealing/checking is too powerful? It does require you to keep a target lock token and not spend it during the combat phase.

Definitely have to spend it. But that's a fantastic idea.

Pretty weak. Remember, intelligence agents cost 1 point and don't require giving up an action or committing to a specific ship on the previous turn. And they still aren't all that popular. Is moving the effect from a crew upgrade to an EPT really that important that it justifies such huge drawbacks?

How many ships is it restricted to? If that ship happens to have a TL on two ships on the field, can I look at both of the dials? I'd say restrict it to only one of your TL's.

Solid idea. Not sure about squad cost or what the cost should be. Spending TL is alright but not overly creative. Maybe you can adjust your dial afterwards but your opponent can see it? Makes sense if this specific ship is gunning for that specific ship then everyone knows where they're going, right?

Well, we don't want the text to be too convulted, and your wingman might be dead by then anyway

As for the OP's EPT, I do think it is incredibly expensive for what it does (essentially a modified intelligence agent).

Personally, I've found Int Agent to be worthless without a.) Phantoms de-cloaking versus higher PS to get the hell out of dodge, b.) lower PS ships with after manuever moves, such as Academy Ties with barrel-rolls, for blocking.

To make the EPT worth it, I'd say you have to include a navigator-like effect or some sort of free boost/barrel-roll to represent the "I have you now" ship mercilessly chasing down the enemy.

How about if you have a target lock on a ship at the start of your turn,from outside that ships arc, you may add a crit to the result of your roll? The other option seems too much like intel agent crossed with stay on target.

Costs for upgrades are not consistent for their effects across different types of slots. Chewbacca costs 4 but is almost identical (and some times better than) taking both a shield and hull upgrade at 7 points. FCS at 2 points does everything that R5-K6 does for the same cost and more.

Fair point, but Chewbacca is unique. Unique cards are often cheaper than their non unique counterpart seemingly should be. And the reason for that is that the cost doesn't simply increase if you use multiples, it compounds compared to the unique card.

Yes but Intelligence agent is only up to range 2. Also you have to count the fact that it takes a crew slot which is not as common as an EPT. As for spending the Target lock well again all you can do is check the dial, you can't change it. At least not for the ship that has it. Now I think it is sort of rare to have a target lock more than a single turn, you would want to spend it on attack roll modification. However I could see say one ship act as a scout with I have you now and other ships using Stay on Target to keep on track. Still this is just an unsolicited idea.

1 or 2 points I think but I would not spend a target lock to know what I might already know if the target ship is not in my arc this turn it could be the next trun and I would like to have a target lock and focus when I shoot

The proposed "I have you now" would go great on ST-321... IF THERE WAS A SHUTTLE PILOT WHO COULD TAKE ELITE PILOT TALENTS.

I would play the **** out of a shuttle with an EPT.

It should allow you to look at the Target Locked ship's dial before you set yours. Something like this:

Nah. Basically a weaker, more situational, higher cost, EPT version of Intelligence Agent.
