Would anyone with two points left and no crew yet on a phantom consider jerjerrod? While very situational he could save your phantom from a direct hit or blinded pilot crit.

I wouldn't. The odds of your Phantom taking a terrible crit without dying outright are pretty low. You're better served taking a Tactician, IA, or just leaving the seat empty for an initiative bid.

I had some success with Merc Copilot actually, for 2 points.
Otherwise yeah, simply leave it for initiative bid, or get something else, be it Intel Agent, Tactician, blahblahblah. Heck, I'd even consider Saboteur if my Phantom was a FCS Whisper
