I am about to start playing with a group that is already pretty far along at around 4k exp. I made a Tech Priest and also chose the Crimson Exemplar advanced specialty but I am having a little trouble creating this character. Specifically the Crimson Exemplars specialist equipment says they can choose from a "ballistic mechadendrite or utility mechadendrite,(servo arm)" is the servo arm in parentheses the same one out of the Hammer of the emperor book? or does it mean the Tech Priests comrade advance servo arm? or is it just a regular utility mechadendrite that looks like a servo arm for fluff?

(gm doesn't know either)

It's the servo arm out of Hammer, which is broken as all hell.

Crimson Exemplar. Max weapon skill, punch Nob in face, laugh, repeat.

Max out Toughness and augment yourself to the Nines. Take The Flesh Is Weak.

Congratulations. You're more tanky than an Ogryn, and do an average of 20 pen 10, up to swift attack rate.

Watch as your GM battles on trying to figure out how to kill you without pasting the whole party unfairly.

So, it's the OW version of the Crimson Guard from The Lathe Worlds ? A Rank 1 career that is effectively about Rank 4? Yay balance...

Thank you for the info Sgtlazarus. I agree and after reading more and discussing the class with my gm seems a bit over the top so we are going to make some adjustments to try to even out the power. Thanks again for the fast response.
