Couple questions about Keyan Farlander

Got a couple questions about Keyan Farlander

1. I did not see Keyan in the playoff rounds in this year's World Championship. Is that because Keyan was not tournament-legal at the WC, Keyan is not as strong as people thought, or some other reason?

2. Any fun 100 point Keyan builds you would recommend? Please note that I don't have Rebel Transport or the Tantive.

1: Keyan was legal, but he's expensive. Rebel lists at the moment tend towards Falcon builds or numbers (4+ ships). As such, he might not have been awidespread choice.

2: Keyan's ability works with stress, so any mechanic which self-generates stress can be useful. Keyan with Engine Upgrade & Push The Limit can be a tricky customer to deal with. Due to the amount of red on the B-Wing's dial, Keyan & Advance Sensors can also be very effective.

Kyle Katarn crew looks like it could be pretty handy on Farlander, especially if someone nearby has the Jan Ors crew.

Opportunist could also be pretty sweet with Wes flying with Keyan. Keyan can use the stress from Opportunist to modify the attack he gets it from.

I ran keyan with hlc, advice sensor, and vi alongside a blue squad with hlc and Jake with push and vi and proton rockets.

The list was a ton of fun to fly and had some very close matches but didn't qualify for the cut on day 1.

I've been using:

Keyan, opportunist, HLC, adv sensors

Wes, VI, R3-A2

Biggs

To great effect. Tons of damage, Farlander has essentially 13 HP, and Wes can ruin the day of Phantoms as long as he gets arc. Even at Range 3, Wes and Farlander should be able to kill Whisper in one round of shooting.

I just think Rebel Aces was overshadowed by Wave 5 especially on Vassal.

I took:

Keyan with Push the Limit

Biggs

Airen with Veteran Instincts

Rebel Op with Ion Cannon Turret and Jan Ors

tonight to a tournament and won.

First game versus Wedge with R2-D2, Biggs with hull upgrade, and 3 Bandits... must have been another upgrade, too, because he was at 100 points. Lost Biggs only.

Second game versus Whisper (ACD, Rebel Captive, VI), Kath (Tactician, VI), and the TIE Fighter that you can't focus or reroll against. May have had some other upgrades. I lost Cracken early and Biggs late.

Third game versus Wedge (R2), Garven, Cracken, and Biggs. Lost Keyan early due to a bad bump and poor barrel roll choice separating him from Biggs. Pretty much thought it was over from there. Lost Cracken, too. Managed to ionize Wedge and finally take him out and then had the Rebel Operative with 1 hull left, and a critical for only one green die. Traded fire with his Biggs on the last turn, and my Biggs took out his Biggs. Won by 3 points. Felt like I learned the most in this game.

B-wing has always been my favorite ship since the first time I saw Return of the Jedi. My usual problem is that I'll try to pack too much onto one. I tried to think a little bit differently than some of my other builds and it worked out well for this tournament.
