Should I pay $60 (US) for the Slave I Expansion Pack? People seem to think that it's going to be reprinted/re-released sometime soon. Is there any proof of that?
$60 for Slave I?
It will be reprinted. All ships have undergone multiple reprints sine the game came out in 2012.
Upcoming lists the slave1 as in production. Will be about 1-3 months till it is on the boat and over by ship. Port issues are slowing down the latest reprints from getting in. Out of FFG's hands.
It's scheduled for a quarter 4 re-stock. Not sure if it will be out again by Christmas, but it definitely IS being reprinted. I personally wouldn't spend that much on it. Have you checked Barnes n Nobles? They usually have stuff in stock.
IT'S A TRAP!
Be patient. Look around. Check out eBay, Bartertown.com, and other places for the Firespray-31.

I would go with no.
Last year people paid up to $60 for TIE Interceptors just a few weeks before the reprint hit the store shelves. Always a good thing to remember.
I'd wait.
P.S. Unless you want to by mine ![]()
P.P.S. And if you really need it there are a couple of LGS down here I could check. They sell at MSRP (sometimes discount) so no gouging.

Sorry **** phone actin up
Edited by Krynn007Alright. Thanks, everyone. I can wait for the reprint, now that I know that's a thing.

Don't do it.
It will be reprinted soon enough.
I can understand your feelings if you really want one, but that is a ridiculous price.
Keep checking around.
I bought another on ebay and after shipping only cost 2 bucks more if I had bought at my flgs.
I can't stand those that buy things up, and try to resell for a profit

So it'll probably turn up in march. ![]()

No hold off a while longer.
Where do you live? I have at least 8 slave Is brand new in the Chicago area. Just go to a Barnes and Noble bookstore.
$29.99

Alright. Thanks, everyone. I can wait for the reprint, now that I know that's a thing.
If you are waiting for the reprint, I'd recommend placing a pre-order with either your FLGS or reputable online dealer (I personally always shop FLGS, because I make my living in one). Don't want to wait around for the restock to have them all snatched up before you get your hands on one.
Depends if you want to fork out three times the price for a ship that is not out of print and for that markup to go to people who buy up large chunks of stock when it's available to profiteer off the shortages.
Ultimately it's a plastic spaceship. If you want to be sure of getting it place a preorder, but remember this is a game, it's a hobby, it's a toy spaceship, and it's really not so pressing that it's worth that much.
Don't support the profiteers.
Edited by TIE PilotI just spent $60 on one. I started playing around August of this year, and that's when a lot of the supply dried up. I've waited, and the reprints still aren't on the boat. We are very likely going to be stuck waiting until the Wave 6 stuff drops, so I think realistically it's probably going to be January - Februaryish before you see them in stores again.
So for me, $60 was a small price to pay to have the ship now (IT ARRIVED TODAY!!!). I don't exactly live paycheck to paycheck anymore, and for me the extra $25 was a small price to pay.
So the only real question is, is that worth it to you? I've shelled out for both the Falcon and Firespray, my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. YMMV
$60?!?!?! There are some at my local Barnes & Noble. Makes me want to go buy one and sell it for $40! How much are they normally?
I can't remember if they're $25.99 or $29.99 MSRP.
$30

God, no. It's going to be reprinted. Just wait and save your hard-earned money.
EXCEPTION: if the engines and weapons light up and there's a fully modeled cockpit under real glass, and a tiny Han Solo in carbonite slots into the cargo bay. Otherwise, no deal, man. No deal.
I would look at it differently. It's going to be at least 2 months before you see these back in stores (though I'd recommend checking local gamestops and B&Ns first). Essentially you are paying 50 cents a day for the thrill of having the Firespray zipping around your table now.
I think it's well worth it, but I'm clearly in the minority.

Don't get me wrong. But the last sentence could come from the guy trying to sell the box for $60.
