We have this forum and it is a good resource for meet ups, but do be think a calendar would be useful? If I started assembling a community calendar would anyone use it?

I'm going ahead and posting the calendar in 'beta' form until the kinks get worked out and we get some more events posted. Please try the form out for your event and let me know if there are any issues!
Yes, I really like this idea! We could put release dates, etc up there as well
One calendar for the whole international community, if used by everyone, will be way too busy. I see a nice recurring event for Tuesday nights in Georgia. That one note alone takes up about 20% of the space on the calendar for a Tuesday night.
Maybe divide this up by region somehow??
I hear what you're saying, Spleen, but I think it will work out. For one, there is 'agenda' view which turns the calendar into a list. If it actually does see wide usage and gets too cluttered, then we'll see about separate calendars.
