Do we expect Most Wanted to include Rebel cards, at least the Generic pilots? It'd be nice to be able to be able to use your new minis in the old faction

It doesn't.

You get two Scum Zs, a Scum Y, a Scum Y conversion kit, a Firespray conversion kit and a HWK conversion kit.

There are multiples of the Scum Y-Wing generic cards and two scum dials, but unfortunately they aren't including any of the Rebel cards. You can go check out the previews on the main FFG site and see what cards you want to use with your Rebel Y-Wing, though.

Isn't it obvious how it's mean? It would be so easy to include extras to use them as Rebels as well as Scum. You've got the models, surely it makes sense to make them usable by both factions, if to do so would be cheap and easy (which I assume it would). Would be more environmentally friendly too - what's the point having to buy ten Y-Wing models just to be able to use 5 in each faction, when the sculpt is the same?

I'm not saying they're evil money grabbing ****ards, I'm just saying it's a shame.

If that's a reference to a topic being brought up that some people have already discussed, it's quite an ironic response.

Some of the cards, say for the Y wing, aren't faction specific. So thos will be usable on the rebel Y wings... and a few upgrades for EPTs should see cross faction use, but other than that I would say no... no rebel specific cards. It is, as was mentioned, a 3rd faction release, there is no reason to put in rebel, or imp specific cards.

Well, I disagree - there's an obvious reason to put the rebel cards in: cos when you've got the minis, why not make them even more useful by including all pilots who can fly in those minis, save for unique ones? You can't deny its wasteful buying several of the same mini just to get different cards.

I don't mean to make out that I think this is a big deal, it just would have been nice. I'll be buying two sets of Most Wanted, it would have been nice if that would allow me to use a swarm of Z95s, since I'll have seven or eight of the minis.

The point is the bottom line. FFG is in the business of selling models, not giving them away. Putting rebel pilots and rebel dials and rebel base cards, would be easy but it would hardly be cheap, because doing so would mean a loss of profits for FFG.

I didn't say it would be the most profitable thing they could do, I said it would be nice. Your argument has no stance in morality and could be used to justify the worst customer gouging corporate behaviour (which isn't what this is).

Morality has no bearing here. It's not like they're kicking puppies or something. They're trying to maximize their profits.

It's also not like they aren't already putting a ton of extra value into the MW pack. They have 2 Y-Wing dial, and extra pilot cards, plus HWK and Firespray dials, cards and pilots.

The value on a MW pack is as good if not better than the core set.

Somebody made a decision, their choice was between maximising profits and giving a little bit away so that purchasers of their product had a better experience.

They did give something away, and more than a little bit. There's a ton of cardboard in the Most Wanted pack, and all of it for the faction it's created for.

Most Wanted is for the Scum and Villainy faction, there is zero reason to include cards exclusive for other factions in there.

Of course it's not free stuff, it would be part of the package you're purchasing when you buy the box. If I was asking them simply to send me some on afterwards then that would be free stuff, but clearly it isn't if it's part of the agreement at the time of purchase.

Not all, I wouldn't include the unique pilots, so people would still have a reason to buy at least one of them. What I don't see is why people should buy 10 minis in order to field five.

I've already bought seven or eight of them (I'm not sure), I hardly think I can be accused of being a tight customer. What I want is to be able to make maximum use of the minis I buy. What FFG want is to maximise profit, by getting people to buy multiples of the mini just to get different cards. Fine, that's their right as a business. It's just quite greedy. Seems to me you're willing to judge individual people as greedy (trying to get something for free) while not applying the same conditions to people running companies.

If you buy 5 rebel Y-wings and 5 MW packs you can field 10 scum Y-wings. Which is the point of the pack not to give you rebel or imperial ships but to help you kick start your scum faction fleets.

Feel like the guys who sell expansions piecemeal on Ebay are going to love the new market for buying dials/tiles/generics that's going to open up once MW is released.
