Question: What happens if you don't have a skill to discard? Do you still get to draw 1 skill? Or does nothing happen?

I'd say yes, you'd still get the draw.

Depends on how much you care about grammer. "Then" implies you have to do something first, like turn left then right. Can't turn right w/out going left. But given the card says you're changed, I'd go w/ taking the skill ad getting LITAS.

u must discard that is obviously the designers intent!

As it is, you discard a skill if you have one. Regardless of if you did, you draw a new one and lose a sanity. It's rare to be without a skill, but this could be kind of a "gift" to the investigator, hand-delivered from Hastur (unless the investigator is at 1 sanity).

As for the encounter - if you have no skill to discard, then just skip the part and go to next one - drawing a skill. That's my opinion.

Pittplayer's post was perfectly readable. I managed to understand it immediately. And for all you know, you're talking to someone for whom English isn't their first language. If you can't understand what someone said, just politely ask them to clarify it.

If you want to have a serious argument about what is and isn't grammatically and syntactically correct in written English, then fine, let's start a thread about that in the 'off-topic' section. We will get absolutely nowhere.

Okay, I am sorry, I was in a bad mood for unrelated reasons, when I posted the objection.

At some forums I am active in, pittplayer's posting manners would yield him an infraction for bad readability, especially if repeated.

This is apparently not the case here, for the rules are not so strict here. I will keep that in mind for the future.

haha if a ah post made you that mad by not using proper english then you should stay off most boards since most people use things like lol, btw, wtf, etc, cause we all dont have ten years to write a 10 page letter in classic english! you sir should take a moment and realize what is important in life! and that would not be getting upset at a ah post. and the corinthian is correct there are a lot of non-english as their first language people on these forums and you could be taken as racist so too all posters out there, be polite and dont come down on people for no reason. you may think that kind of thing is cool but trust me no one else here does!

Pittplayer 's posts can sometimes be like reading a forbidden tome, but it's cool because that identifies his character. He sure seems enthusiastic about his posts.

I must agree that I've come straight out of 4chan before and felt like berating people for stupid stuff. I don't go to 4chan a lot anymore.

A friend of mine was actually SHOCKED to find that we treat each other on this board like civilized people, citing: "but it's a forum!" He must visit 4chan often.

I have said that I respect the policy you have here (thanks to corinthian jumping on me - I accept his reasons), but that does not mean that I agree with it.

This forum has to be relaxed. Everyone on here already knows that in order to understand or even know who Lovecraft is means that the forum members have to have at least some intelligence. Besides that, we are also the geeky dnd nerds lol, we are the ones people cheated off of remember.

All steroetype joking aside, FFG likes to enforce a relaxed community because they don't want these boards to turn into gamefaqs or blizzard type of forums. Having a person not speak properly won't change the world in any major way. Causing hate and anger will though. By upsetting one individual you only hinder the goal of a friendly and peaceful world. We have enough stress in our real lives and find it relaxing to chill on these forums or even sometimes escape the evil hold of the forums and play a board game or two...lol.

I try to make sure I have very few typos in my posts. If I decide to speak in "AIM' talk that is most likely because I am tired or don't really care what the people reading my post think of me.

To me fighting over speach and grammer is the equal of fighting over political or religious views. NO good comes out of it. I am glad you apologized and even more glad that you stepped up and didn't attack back even after pittplayer showed his inablity to stop a fight.

It is hard to not come across as stern or angry since emotions and facial expressions can't be seen on forums. But I am smiling and am in no way angry or upset.
