Hello gents and ladies,
I just though I'd post a link here to the Second Edition campaign that I am currently playing in, which is now streaming on youtube as a series. Hope you all enjoy it!
Quick question - I am editing the new episode. Would people prefer a larger quantity of shorter, half-hour/hour videos or just one long episode?
I tend to watch long videos like that in 30 minute blocks. That's how some of the more popular rpg shows on youtube do it Rollplay for example. Try to cut at a roll or a tense moment to increase the tension and need for resolution by watching the next video if you do end up cutting it.
Sounds like a plan!
Good night everybody!
Here's the latest episode of our Dark Heresy - Second Edition playcast. I'll be uploading a half-hour segment weekly on Saturday nights, which will help fill the void between game time. Also, our new art style for the videos will feature kooky Gothic artwork - just something a little different from the usual FFG stuff.
Enjoy! Don't forget to Like and Subscribe to the channel, and if you want more then stay tuned.
It's that time of the week again!
As the underhive shootout continues, the acolytes are forced to adapt to new allies and new enemies. Will they be able to turn the tide back to the side of the law, or they sacrifice the lives of the innocent to maintain their masquerade?

How are people enjoying the new format? What about the new episode artwork? Feedback is always appreciated, and enjoy the episode!
Edited by Crystal GeyserYour volume levels need some work. I can barely hear the people actually present, but the person on call was very loud. Barring that it's fine.
Thanks, we will work on fixing that. Because we use my laptop's speakers to hear him, unfortunately he is louder than everyone else.
How is the release frequency? Is one episode a week easy enough to follow?
It's alright, it's all dependent on how often you get your group to play. If you only play once a month then padding out with weekly episodes is generally the best way.
I don't know how difficult this would be, but is it possible for the person on call to wear headphones and record his own voice, then add that in to the groups audio? I've seen it done in Lets Plays before, but I don't know how difficult it would be to do with the audio of him also talking at the table. May involve having to meticulously mute every instance of him talking in your audio and adding his audio in at those parts.
Jake actually comes back this week, so while we can't do much about our games we have already recorded, we won't have to deal with it in the future.
Episode 4 is here!

As you can tell by the image/if you take the time to read the blurb, you'll see our heroes indulging in the Inquisition's prime specialty - cold-blooded torture. Unfortunately, nothing is simple in the lives of the acolytes, and the mission only gets more complicated from here.

Today we see Andy's interpretation of a 40k hospital - bleak and apathetic, as always. Meanwhile, the rest of the gang get up to the usual nefarious shenanigans, with predictably unpredictable consequences.
So are you happy with how terrorist like your warband is acting? Also I like the interaction with the Hospitaller, but you should tell them that it's not an internship like thing. They just devote their time to caring for the ill, it's their literal job.
I mean, I'm not the GM. I'm Jonah.
And you'll see Jonah's thoughts on his war band's characteristic disregard for human life in tonight's episode, Episode 6!
Also, it's lovely to see that we have consistent viewership - I hope this newest entry doesn't disappoint.

With Jonah's explosive demise sending the acolytes into a frenzy, Thaddeus's parade transforms into an explosive battleground. Will the cult icon's insidious grasp over Sporn end, or are the remaining acolytes doomed to suffer a similar fate?
Episode 8 is now live.

After escaping the parade, the acolytes interrogate the overseers of the Overwatch and begin to uncover the true nature of the planetary governor's demise.

A little note, for those actively following the series - due to a sudden buildup of episodes, I'm going to endeavor to start releasing one-hour episodes twice a week following episode 10. Episode 11 marks the introduction of some new characters and a tonal shift in the campaign, so hopefully those who have been keeping up with the series won't find the abundance of new content too overwhelming!
I'm just going to take a quick moment here to shamelessly advertise the pilot of our new Pathfinder series, in case anyone is interested. Like, subscribe, comment and enjoy!

The world breathes magic. The Panda God, the benevolent father sent down by the celestials, watches every corner of the land with his all seeing eye, ruling the united races of the earth with his guidance and wisdom. Hundreds of species, human and inhuman, coexist in harmony. Wars are short-lived and swift, resolved peacefully through the intervention of the Higher Orders.
It sucks.
Drexyl didn’t expect his war to end so soon – not when it hadn’t even been properly won yet. Ousted, stripped of rank and left with nothing but memories, he and his nefarious panel of advisors – Kung Pao Chicken and Salazar Synethii – roam the land in search of adventures to stimulate their despicable senses. But little does Drexyl know that the ultimate war is soon about to begin, a war that even the Panda God may not be able to avert.

Andy – Drexyl, Dwarven Antipaladin

The second stage of Gordon's warband's investigation is about to begin. Recovered from their botched attempt to assassinate General Thaddeus, the acolytes discover new, if eccentric allies in the forms of Adept Dekkard and Beaver Coonskin. However, now the tides have turned and the hunt is upon the acolytes, as the Sporn Overwatchers unite with the Adeptus Arbites to bring a certain cell of "criminals" to justice.

The acolytes prepare to mobilize against the Overwatchers Regiment, constructing an array of traps, devices, and explosives. Beaver, Jonah, Aaron and Dekkard migrate to the Middle Hive to heist Iscarot's motorcade, resulting in a fiery downtown battle. Will Gordon's agents succeed in bringing the enigmatic officer in, or will they be thwarted by Iscarot's cunning guile?

The acolytes, having abducted Captain Iscarot, return to Beaver's bungalow in the underhive to begin interrogating the officer of the Overwatchers Regiment. However, Gordon's warband is still decidedly inexperienced with the fine art of extracting information from its foes, and it seems like the treacherous renegade may possess the upper hand. Meanwhile, Gordon reveals Jonah's secret activities, leading to mistrust between the acolytes.

James - Jonah Keough

The acolytes take to the turbulent tides of the warp as, after days of intrigue, espionage and resource-gathering, they prepare to depart Sporn and relocate to its neighboring world, Khadore. Luckily for them, the Rogue Trader Jebediah is more than happy to lend some assistance - but it soon becomes apparent that this erstwhile merchant may know more than he reveals
