I've never really been super artistic but really want a new hobby. Does anyone have any tips for someone thinking about getting started?

I would recommend either reaper miniatures or my favorite Army painter. AP really kinda simplifies the whole thing while you learn and can expand to nonmetallic metal and two brush blending and other techniques. The www.ARMYPAINTER.com also offers a variety of starter kits to get you going then there is always youtube for how to videos on technique
