So I was curious to try and categorize the respective styles of the Rebel and Imperial factions. I did this by looking over the pilot abilities of each ship and deciding weather it is an ability to improve the ship's offense, defense or was intended to boost an ally and finally weather it was an ability that affected play in a way that does not specifically favor either offense or defense. I came up with 4 categories: Offense, Defense, Support and Tricks
Offensive abilities are considered any ability that adds damage dice, rerolls attacks or assigns damage.
Defensive abilities are considered any ability that mitigates incoming hits or maneuvers the ship in a way that will not assist attacking but will help avoid enemy firing arcs.
Support abilities are any ability that boosts, assists or protects a friendly ship.
Tricks are any abilities that move a ship, deals with gaining focus or whatever other random affect that affects offense and defense equally.
