Now that I think about it...

A note to Rebel players: if you put the R2-D2 crew on Chewbaca... R2 will regen your shields but any damage cards that randomly flip up will have full affect.

Might still be worth it in my opinion but it's something to consider carefully if anyone wants to make Chewbaca even more tanky.

Edit: I might just have to try this troll list out sometime after worlds

Have you considered running 3x Outer Rim Smugglers with Navigator, Intelligence Agents, and Anti-Pursuit Lasers?

Make it so that the enemy runs into you... to death.

THAT is trolly. And surprisingly effective.

If you want to make it even tankier, swap Predator for Determination and Engine Upgrade for Shield Upgrade.

I only own two YT-1300s, so the most Outer Rim Smugglers I've considered running is two... I'm generally good natured enough to not buy models to run lists like than. Then again if I decide I want more than 4 Engine Upgrades, I'll enough YTs.

Basically Chewie does not help you if when you are dealt a damage card it is face down, but then it gets turned face up. I am not sure how many effects do this, but their are at least two. There could be more.
