Do the 2nd edition upgrade cards for 1st edition models have heroic feats? I was thinking about getting one on E-Bay not sure if they are 100% compatible

The conversion kit cards are completely compatible with the second edition. The only thing missing are the miniatures.

If you are willing to cough up the money and are lucky you can find someone on Ebay selling their first edition monster figures. or you can proxy some of the monsters. Reaper's Bone line of miniatures are pretty cheap, getting a set of Kobolds from Reaper is cheaper than looking for the real thing on Ebay.
