Weekend project is nearly complete, still a little work to do on it but overall I'm pretty happy.

The cream V at the front was free hand using the lines on the ship as a guide, the cream line seperating the blue and read was done using tape on one side and the lines on the ship as a guide
That's cool. I saw a '32 Ford painted very similar not long ago.

I suggest adding a light wash. I've done that for a lot of my ships (all the A-Wings), even ones I haven't painted myself, gives them a much Rebbely feel.
I agree with the sentiment that is wouldn't be the colours I would choose, but superb work on the lines!

Absolutely not. The A-Wing was always my favorite ship, and when they fixed it, I somehow ended up with 12. Ya gotta have a whole squadron of course.

For what it's worth for people who are unfamiliar, that's the paint scheme options that were available to starships in Star Wars Galaxies. There's a set of templates like these for all of the starships. If you go digging around the internet you'll be able to find them for most of the ships that are available for X-Wing if you are looking for inspiration on paint jobs in the future. (Note that not all of the paint options for the ships are that great)
