Use your Ignore List. Avoid topics you don't want to read. There always were, and still are, a lot of great folks on these forums and before long this weird stuff will pass and we'll be talking about how Dash is OP and Decimators have ruined the game.

If you noticed the change in the last 40 days, must have been some chain reaction that one person started and another got in on, then someone else posts a troll thread to keep blood up because that's what they like to see, etc.

It's isn't everyone, just the loudest ones.

The people who want to post meaningful threads and have meaningful discussions (or at least light hearted ones that aren't trolling) have to do so around the interference.

What happened? we are getting bored waiting on wave 5 and more info on wave 6.

Within sixty hours there is a high chance for a bi-weekly wave 6 update and we can return to our normal behavior of analyzing pilots, upgrades, squads, and list combinations. And speculate about future releases. Somewhere in between a boat will dock in Antwerp and bring wave 5 to Europe and you wish us a happy Friday (well, I hope so)

Nothing new, no new crazy announcements, the wave 5 release excitement has calmed down, nothing really new metawise so people are getting silly, I agree with cununculus the biggles thread was enteraining. Hopefully we get can either IMP huge ships, Wave 6/wave 7...something to get us back to norm

A few issues of late and everyone's going nuts about it. Clearly, lack of things to discuss has led to silly and insulting posts. Some members have had enough and decided to leave. That's their decision and they're entitled to it. No need to take any parting shots at them. It only reinforces their reasons further.

Why aren't there more women playing with plastic space ships and going pew pew? Gee, I don't know. Look at it from the outside and it's actually pretty geeky. But that's what we love, and that's why we do it.

The good ol' days of the forum seemed to have sadly slipped away a little. Let's collectively try and get them back. Keep the trolling out of it. Try and discuss topics that are relevant and respect other people's views without resorting to giving them a back handed slap at every opportunity.

I haven't seen much like this from other games forums. I haven't played many other forums. But it seems a bit ridiculous with what people are posting.

I can understand the wish for inclusion, but I can't see the game as being sexist. I would like more female pilots and aliens on the imperial side.

But to post things like, ideas for game adjustments to make it more Amish inclusive, a bit far fetched.

My understanding was that the Empire was bigoted against the aliens hence the lack of them in the Imperial forces. Fluff wise I recall quite a few female pilots in the Empire though.

The game is the same... there are just some bad and usless threads right now, but they will disappear soon... thankfully.

The good threads on ships and lists and such shall return, as is happening as we discuss this.

Some people see a wagon and jump on. Human nature is hard to stave off, but this game is unchanged, it's balanced and fun to play.. as always..

This morning I have a free minute from life so I wanted to jump on the forum and see what's up, what people are flying, what bright new people are posting, how ships repaintings are coming along and what wave 7 will offer.

The first thread that I see is one about leaving, next about inclusive, followed about getting women to play x-wing.

Wow what happened in 40 days, no really what happened.

As a former 40k player I dealt with a ton of garage, from terrible sportsmanship to people threatening to kill me for playing at a different store. I was super happy to find this game with an amazing community of players and be involved in the community. As a person that joined at the start of 2014 I really loved this game. It's a table top game I play with my wife and still looking forward to teaching my son how to play.

Maybe we can go back to talking about the game we love and not inclusion or gender talk

Ps I asked my wife if x-wing was sexist, she said "that's dumb".

I must admit, as the one who began the Amish thread, that it perhaps misfired. It was an attempt at honest parody, nothing more.

I had no idea the "exclusive" threads had devolved into such madness.

If anyone was offended by my "include the Amish" topic, then I apologize. It was merely an attempt of mine to do something a little funny as opposed to seeing "3PO is overpowered" pretty much every time I checked the forum LOL

Nothing more than a SJW posting in unnecessary places and getting upset that they are not getting the attention or praise that they expected. #dosomethingelse.

The issue is a few people being idiots and everyone getting riled up. Honestly the best thing would probably be some heavier moderation that killed the stupid threads. Even when the initial poster has good intentions you can see when threads are just going to go rapidly downhill and get everyone wound up. It's very hard to resist chiming in even when you can see what will happen...

Game is fine, there are many people still here that want to talk strategy and game play. Just ignore all the irrelevant posts.

Personally, I think this will all die down eventually. We're wise to their tactics now, and pretty soon we'll learn how to avoid them completely. I admit, I got sucked into the SJW threads, and I regret it a little. But nobody's perfect. The important thing now is to try and focus on the game itself and ignoring the obviously derailing topics.

Yeah, lol, it's hard sometimes. Debates are okay, but when it devolves to arguing, I just remind myself that, when you argue on the internet, everyone's a loser.
