Honestly at this point I can't even tell if I'm somehow doing his bidding. I'm also genuinely unsure if I'm enjoying this meme or trying to hasten the end of it.

Funny enough, everyone in the copy cat threads are getting along and having a good time.

Those in the threads yeah, because we get the joke, but now i come across even MORE whyning and "i'm leaving!" posts and i'm allergic to that kind of passive-agressive whining.

I sense a big smack down from the administrators coming. There's now more OT threads than actual xwing threads on the first page.

Because it's spam. Not just that, but excessive spam. Half the threads on the front page are complete crap. You wanna laugh at how bad the thread that started this was, fine. But at least keep it contained. Laugh behind your screen. Laugh in the thread. Don't start 6 more identical threads about the same joke.

I think the real question is how can we be more inclusive to people unwilling to beat a dead horse

I could laugh about the first one, just as said because it showed how the parent thread evolved beyond its focus. But all the extra threads will only make the admin regret his previous decision to not completely put a halt on the discussion about women and x-wing. And that while the discussion has(d) a place here. Even OT threads should be allowed within reason, but this only makes it clear for them that thats not possible as well.

I hope the admin(s?) will see this as an extra reason to make some subforums where there is room for OT (and painting/modding and builds). While this is of course a x-wing forum, it is also a community where there should be room for all kind of discussions vaguely related to the game and a subforum could easily make the main forum be about x-wing (meaning endless tie advanced fixes, fat han complaints and see my amazing build threads) while still keep people hanging around on the forum without getting tired of the repetative questions about x-wing, because those are also the people with most knowlegde about x-wing which is helpful for FFG in providing an active forum for its product.

He eventually got banned for starting a thread name-and-shaming some guy he played on Vassal under the extremely thin guise of asking whether Expose or Marksmanship is better on Corran Horn. The post included a screencap of their game, where Redi is swearing a great deal and generally not being a decent human being. Ribann proceeded to go completely insane when Wonder WAAAGH called him out on the fact that he just wanted to start a witch hunt, and after being banned he occasionally shows up and trolls the forum in a very clumsy fashion.
