That thread (in its three reincarnations) was made fun of because it was *all* everybody talked about. It still is a discussion going nowhere, with almost no contributions from girls (just one). Making "copycat" threads is the community's way of saying "move on".

You may think of it as childish, but I think your pissing at us before leaving is just as childish.

i have to agree with this person, i started the thread i did as a joke and a way for people to as what was said move on to something else besides what was started, if some cant take humor or any kind of light heartedness then all i can say bye and would hate to play a game with overly sensitive types in real life.

You are accussing people in this forums for trying to limit or exclude women, which is far from truth and completely missleading. I still remember the one thread where a returning player made a complaint, and was pretty much driven off by attacking his religion. (Ironically prompting the attitude he was complaining about) Which was disgusting. You disagree with what he was saying, fine. Learn how to respond in a civil manner. Making light of what could be very serious issues for people will make this forum a laughing stock. Or, even more than it already is.

Doing things for "the funny" does not excuse the behavior I have seen. I admit I can come off as aggressive or mocking, but I generally reserve that for threads that are already exaggerating or overblown. As it is, I think commuting over to Teamcovenant might be in my best interest for now, since FFG has such little control over their forums (this applies to all the forums, there was a very impressive troll in the RPG forum that took forever to be banned).

Nothing i have posted is Misogynist in anyway. I am disagreeing with someone trying to force us to feel guilty over their political agenda whatever that may be.

Im pretty sure theres a difference between calling someone out for Internet bull and getting drama-queen pissy when you fail to guilt trip people into altering their entire mindset.

While I understand the frustration with the current state of the community. But, playing devil's advocate here (I have tried to keep my thoughts on inclusive gameplay to myself, as I don't think these forums are the appropriate place to have the discussion), isn't it easy enough to just not enter those threads that don't interest you? I've stayed out of all of them, because I see neither the humor in, nor the need for, these threads. If it's a cathartic environment for them to stay in their echo chambers where they can all pat themselves on the back about their stance (whether they think there should be more done for inclusiveness or if there is already enough done), then at least they are confined to that particular area and not putting the stuff up in other threads.

I've personally been trying to contribute to the forums, either with something humorous (see my thread on Game Mechanic X being OP), or more serious fare with my current "What do you own too much of" thread. I think there's enough of us here to be able to enjoy the space while letting those that are uninterested in having their points refuted having their own small corner to use however they see fit.

As for the so called inclusiveness, if you think X-wing has a lack of inclusiveness in its gender demographics with pilot selection then this is the wrong place. As of now FFG has the sole responsibility of taking the Star Wars franchise and IP which they do not own and have no say over it and adapt it to their games based upon the Star Wars franchise. FFG has nothing to do with the gender graphics selection and are not responsible for. They have no say in what Disney owns and the fact of Star Wars and their unequal representations of characters is something they really have control of. In a matter of fact they did a good job with the source material in this by adding pilots such as Jan Ors and Kath Scarlet. I mean it is hard to make a 50-50 split when this is your source material.
