How do you obtain psykic powers that you can use to train yourself to get a higher psy rating if your not a psyker, I know you can get some through drugs but you cant build on those. I am mainly asking this because I am a tech preist and I want a psykic power!

you roleplay the training, and your GM sets an XP cost between 500 and 1000 XP...

Or you get it as a corruption effect.

As a GM I probably whack a pretty high cost on it (somewhere near 1000xp), and you'd get a lot of corruption points too. My reasons:

1. Tech Priests are supposed to be logical, and aspire to a machine like state. A psychic power is going against this core goal.

2. I think the ability to become a psyker is so rare if you're not born with the gift, it would take something special to do so.

Ps. I was going to suggest you try the Nascent Psyker elite advance but it says Tech Priests can't take it.

A really heretical way you could manage it would be taking the sorceror talent. It's got some prereqs that you can work towards and if your gm's cool with it you've got a lot of roleplaying options that will open up for you. It's not exactly psychic power but you wouldn't have to worry about being thrown on the black ships for 20 + years. Just dismemberment, flames, and death... but other than that your good.
