I work in the safety dept of a transport company, this is having a huge impact on many of our drivers, much of the freight that we pull this time of year has slowed to a crawl. This is going to have a lasting effect through the holiday shopping season.

Yea it's worldwide. NPR had a story on it last week but I can't find it.something to do with new massive boats being too large for the ports they're stopping in.

I think I've learned not to care too much about when Wave 5 arrives. We'll see how much I spam the page once it switching to Shipping...

That's an interesting story, I wouldn't mind learning more of the causes. I'm not impatient, though. there's plenty of other ships I want to get first, anyway.

Since I live in Vegas, it is now time to start the pool ...

I will set the line at +350 that Kiloden will not post another "where is my decimator ...", "what happened to the boat", etc. thread within the next 30 days. For those that aren't into odds, that means he is an underdog to avoid such a scenario.

It would have been interesting if you would have linked to the article. Or at least hint at the presumed cause of the delays. Also, FFG still doesn't go free totally here, because there is one thing that this, otherwise great company, fails to deliver on time and time again. Communication. Is the product delayed? Inform the customer through the website what's going on. Is a product cancelled? At least tell the poor people who preordered it. Actually... tell everybody. Nothing wrong with keeping your customers in the information loop so at least they know what is is they are waiting for.

So what boat did they use for the gen con ships?. Cause I wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks for a faster boat or mode of transportation. Just saying... I mean some of us don't live near gen con. Actually most of us.lol. would be cool if they did a regional thing with the regionals. So a bigger more diverse selection of folks could have got those ships slightly earlyer as well. Would also increase regional attendance. Although the logistics would be more of a pain and I would think that they would have to ration them quite a bit more. But at least it would give other folks a chance to get some cool stuff early. Instead of just those that live in gen con range... just saying. .lol

Enhanced scopes on a PS9 pilot with VI works better. Not only does he get to move into port first, he also gets to unload first.

To be honest, I'm actually kinda glad it's taking a bit of time. Gives us time to play a bit more with the new Rebel Aces toys we just got before moving on to wave 5.

no swedge, if the article is correct, its probably been sitting in port here in the US, just havnt been able to move the containers yet.

this also makes sense to since I had delivery of 6 containers from the west coast this past week, but only 1 of them made it out of the port. the other 5 are to be rescheduled when they are available.

its all starting to make sense to me now.

another issue my container line is having is, they don't have enough wheels to mave all the containers. this could mean either a lack of physical equipment or drivers to haul.

I just wish the shipment of dec.........elerators comes in in time.

Anyway, I have also heard about issue with dock workers striking in San Francisco. Did not realize it was worldwide. I imagine this might be why the reprints aren't going out as planned.

As for the Gencon supply (as well as the Imperial Assault at Essen), it was flown over. I really don't think we want to pay the increase we would have to face if FFG flew over any significant supply of X-wing over. Patience is a factor, it will get better. Until then, play with what you have.
