Daredevil, without boost. What's the Damage?

Okay, this is an older card. It's now a White maneuver, followed by taking a stress.

However, When are the massive benefits of executing that maneuver worth the potential damages?

The damage breakdown is fairly simple to calculate, and is as follows:

16:64 No Hits
24:64 One Hit
8 :64 One Crit

9:64 Two Hits

6:64 One Hit + One Crit
1:64 Two Crits

Or, if you're dealing with shields,

1:4 No Damage

2:4 One Damage

1:4 Two Damage

As we get to ships with greater hull+shield values, and now 3 regenerative astromechs, is this self-damage still non-permissible?

What is the difference in firing arc overlap between even a Boost and this daredevil thing?
How about the difference in knife-fighting turn-radius? In Arc-jumping?

Big O in his VT-49 with Vader riding shotgun cares. Or does he?

Good catch, actually.

The Decimator is a large ship, so it goes farther with mobility actions
The Decimator has the most HP, excluding only the huge

The Decimator has no Koiogran, and therefore benefits hugely from the angle-shift

And of course, Daredevil counts as a maneuver, allowing Oicunn to potentially double-bonk an enemy, if he can get an action after ramming someone.

Dauntless provides that action. There is also an experimental interface+ Isard combo. He's low enough PS so that anyone besides Black Squad with squad leader can hand one off. It can auto kill any phantom that it catches and can one shot any ship in the game besides the falcon or another decimator (in theory. But it can strip the shields off anything).

I just detailed it a titch more on the Oicuun thread

The ship that got me thinking about it again was actually the B-Wing.
8 HP, most of it shields.

For the long-range models, it lets your HLC acquire a 240* of potential arc (some overlapping), at the cost of an action and a stress. I'd have to do a diagram to fully see the overlap with it's native Barrel-Roll option for this, though.

For the knife-fighters, it gives you the ability to turn on a dime in the midst of combat. At Range 1, there is almost certainly no overlap with the Barrel-Roll options, so you get far more utility out of the dang thing, as well as superior arc-dodging (even compared to boost!).

The VT-49 is the Scumbag Steve of the Xwing universe.

Hello, Farlander.

Problem with daredevil without boost is that it is riskier than flying over an asteroid and you get stressed. Fortunately every ship can get engine upgrade.
