My first escalation

By Popn618, in X-Wing

I don't normally post lists because:

a) I dont want you to know my special sauce

b) Usually the exact same list has been posted before

But for escalation I have no clue how to do it effectively. I like my last list but have no clue about the actual escalation part.

So what changes would you do?

List 1:

58 points
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Keyan Farlander (33)
B-Wing (29), Opportunist (4)

List 2:

88 points
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Keyan Farlander (33)
B-Wing (29), Opportunist (4)
Jan Ors (30)
HWK-290 (25), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

List 3:

117 points
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Wes Janson (29)
Keyan Farlander (33)
B-Wing (29), Opportunist (4)
Jan Ors (30)
HWK-290 (25), Ion Cannon Turret (5)

List 4:

150 points
Biggs Darklighter (25)
Wes Janson (29)
Keyan Farlander (40)
B-Wing (29), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Opportunist (4)
Jan Ors (30)
HWK-290 (25), Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Kyle Katarn (26)
HWK-290 (21), Ion Cannon Turret (5)
Thanks in Advance!

Get some z 95s in there on the first list, I'd say - but then blockers are very important to my play style, and maybe not to yours.

List 1 - farlander with opportunist has nobody to strip tokens for him, biggs shoots after him. Maybe ptl instead?

Biggest problem I see is with Opportunist. It will rarely be usable the way you've got it set up. It would be more elegant to have it come in on the same round as Wes.

That being said, does this 4 point swap net you any other options?

Round 1: 6 points floating.
Round 2: 6 points floating.
Round 3: Wes introduced, and 3 points floating

Round 4: Full build.

Now, what happens if we switch Jan and Kyle's entries? This greatly improves Biggs' survival, at least.

Round 1: Biggs (Full), Keyan (Neutered), 6 points Floating.

Round 2: Kyle (Full), Keyan (+HLC), 3 points floating.

Round 3: Wes (Full), Keyan (+ Opportunist) for 0 points floating

Round 4: Jan

Now, if you were to give Keyan a 3 point EPT rather than the 4 point Opportunist, why, in this path he could chose that in Round 1, for 3 floating, 0 floating, 1 floating, and 1 floating, respectively.

PTL > Opportunist in my opinion, especially if you're not knocking tokens off with higher PS allies. Might be better to look at other options, though.
Daredevil's swell on a B-Wing, surprisingly. They've got such high HP that self-damage isn't that big of a concern.
