What are the best combos? Single ship or otherwise....

I am sure that is topic like this in the forum somewhere but I don't see it.

So I was just wondering what some of everyone's favorite combos are, especially for one ship (i.e. which upgrade cards work best on a particular ship.)

My 2 cents worth: Lt. Blount 17pts

+Ruthlessness 3pts

This combo is great because it is only a 20 pt ship in total and Lt. Blount is Always going to hit and due damage to the guy he Didn't shoot at

you can also add an assault missil for more easy damage.

Pity that Ruthlessness is Imperial Only, but that would have been wicked.

Lt. Blount/Ion pulse missiles - yes, I would like to auto-ion a large ship please.

Gunner/Ruthlessness - nearly a guaranteed 2+ damage across 2 ships.

I'm drawn more to Hypermobility. This comes in a variety of ways.

Push the Limit/Experimental Interface + Stress Removal + Barrel-Roll + Boost

Advanced Sensors + Barrel-Roll + Boost

Navigator + Stay On Target

Navigator + Intelligence Agent + Low PS + Anti-Pursuit Lasers

Decloak + ..... anything really.

I find that Z-95's die too quickly. I thought using some of those guys would be cool, but they just needed a turn of bad placement and they were gone. I don't go with the named Z-95's anymore.

As in the thread that I stared about the Rebel Transport guys, there is:

Tarn Mison w/ R7 Astromech. He's a great ship at onlyl 25 pts.

Hobbie Klivian w/ R3-A2 is another good combo at 27 pts.

Porkins w/ R5-D8 is 29 pts and really nice. His chance of taking damage is only 3/8 and his chance of removing damage is 5/8. I like those odds. Plus, he can take an EPT at PS 7.

Any TIE Interceptor that can take an EPT & Push The Limit. You're welcome!

Keyan and pretty much any stressing upgrade.

While I'm not as fond of this one nowadays as discussed on the Rebel Transport thread, I've flown Tarn R7 so much I can't really leave him out.

Fel PTL, which is so common the card and ship are almost one and the same.

Wes Janson with VI and another heavy hitter with Opportunist.

A personal favourite of mine and one I haven't seen on the forums is R3-A2 and Flechette Torpedoes.

Fettigator's pretty fun.

A-wing, A-wing Test Pilot and then any combination of PTL, Outmaneuver, Predator and Wingman.

Rexler Brath, HLC, Predator.

Nera Dantels, B-wing/E2, Recon Specialist, Deadeye, APT, APT.

And, believe or not, Horton Salm with Proton Torpedoes.

A Falcon and C3P0 :P

Bounty Hunter + Recon Specialist. 36 points for a pretty tough ship to take down.

Jan Ors - VI, Blaster Turret, Kyle Katarn.

Wes +VI + R3-A2 and Wedge + Predator. A 64 point force to be reckoned with. Add other stuff to taste.

Named Phantoms with VI and Advanced Cloaking :rolleyes:

Airen Cracken + Wingman is fun. Clear your friends stress then give them an action. I love wingman and think it's a very undervalued card.

Klye Kartarn Crew on a ship with PTL and a friend with Wingman. You PTL get a stress, then top of combat you remove the stress and get a free focus, 3 actions in one turn, and now your dial is open so you don't have to do greens next turn.

Chewie + PTL + C3PO + MF + Kyle + EU (56)

x2 GSP + test pilot + refit + PTL + Wingman (44)

The greens are fast enough to keep up with chewie so he can gain the benefit of Wingman or the A's can help each other out and clear their stress so they can keep their dial options open.

Echo with VI, ACD, recon specialist and sensor jammer. She's expensive but I've had range 1 encounters with fat Han and had her not take any hits. Now I always take SJ on my named phantoms.

Lowly sigma phantom + sensor jammer + rebel captive + stygium particle accelerator. Should Echo or Whisper with ACD shoot it, they won't cloak back...

(Add tacticians on other ships for double stress scenarios)

Oldie but goodie (perhaps slightly overcosted now though)

Garvin and Dutch with ion. They got together like PB and Jelley. I also really like Tarn.

Shuttle and ion is up there for me. Nothin like laughing as you death march a ship off the board.

Major Rhymer with Adrenaline Rush and two Advanced Proton Torpedo's, flanked by Darth Vader with Squad Leader and a Cluster Missile.

Ruthlessness only triggers if the attack hits, and if it does Gunner doesn't trigger.

You'd get a substantial increase in the ability to be Ruthless, though.

It really is a pity...Scums would be able to kill and detonate their own guys, which would have made so much sense thematically.

Another combo:

Omicron group+advanced sensors+heavy lazer cannons and Captain Jonus+ wingman

So the lambda can focus then do the 0 move and captain jonus will remove his stress and give him 2 re-rolls on his attack,

repeat,

using this it is possible to never move your lambda making it a heavy lazer cannon turret to drive opponents insane! ;)
