So been playing around with my VT-49 and here are a couple of builds that have worked pretty well...

How has Mara Jade worked for you? Have people treated that ship as a R1 exclusion zone or did they declare '**** the torpedoes (or stress)!' and get danger close?
I can not stop laughing at the post and build name.... classic!
I used Mara Jade on a Oicunn build last night and she stressed 3 ships in a single round (would have been 4, but I was packing Rebel Captive also, so one ship already had its lucky prize). Otherwise, she's a novelty, but not really that hard to avoid, even with an aggressive ship like Oicunn.
Intimidation EPT is largely useless, IMO. Daredevil with Oicunn is much more hilarious (Engine Upgrade to avoid damage).
She has been just brutal in my matches, I chuckle as my opps have forgotten about her at the end of the attack phase. She's a harlot to be sure but she's my lil harlot ;-)
While the support beef chews them to pieces, what's interesting is its such a different feel with the VT plodding and plotting along, instead of the mass speed of the TIEs.

The system updated based on new guidelines, now using EI inconjuction with Expose.

While I like your Vessery build and have used used it (engineer replaced with Isard), the Whisper build is better. Swarms are the weakness of VT49s and phantoms wreck swarms. Also, whisper does well against ptl Dash, which is THE ship to beat right now.

Truth be told I've had the greatest success as it happens with the dreaded RA/Whisper build. More so now with the advent of EI but the Vessery build has it's merits. The Rexler build was theory crafting to see if it could trigger Rexler's SA with greater frequency but it's a bit too cute IMHO.
I like the theme around these. I will definately try some two ship builds as soon as wave 5 is released
