OT: Who is going 'star wars' for haloween this year?

By Gadge, in X-Wing

The wife and I put the finishing touches to our outfits fro Friday nights party this evening!

So who else is going for a star wars themed costume this year, share your pics if you are.

You'll note Sian appears to have captured a baby wookie... nefarious imperial types, you cant trust em with your young!

I will try to find a black widow jumpsuit and sew an imperial emblem over the Shield one. For Halloween, though, I am batgirl.

I'm built like the Death Star. Does that count?

I got invited to a gym themed halloween party. Which means I get to wear sweat pants and a hoodie like every other day.

I'm singing in the rain, just a singing in the rain... What a glorious feeling *kick, kick* I'm haaaappy again! :D

Sian and I have done 'zombies' of some sort or 'terminators' for about five years (its more common in the UK for haloween costumes to be 'undead' type things than the US convention of more general 'fancy dress') but fancied a change.

Imperial costumes gave us that recognisably 'evil' look without being too far from the UK style of haloween.

I usually do something like this (this is before i've put a bright red contact lens over a white one)

Or your more typical zombie, this is probably the most 'bought' costume both of us have ever done.. usually its a lot of make up and shredding old clothes then muckying them up with spray paints and fake blood

Not I. I'm going Fancy Ghosts.

Cant view that in the UK, whats the gist of it?

I'm going as Darth, with my mini Shih Tzu being my pet ewok.

We looked after my friends ShihTzu recently and i was dying to make her an ewok headress out of old chamois leathers :)

Going with the pretty classic family costume. Endor Han (me), Endor Leia (wife), and Ewok (toddler).

I'll be rolling in my Sith Sorcerer costume, loosely based on the High Sorcerer Adept gear line from SWtOR.

I got a long nose mask so I was thinking about plauge doctor. But then again robe + lightsaber makes a cheap and easy costume.

My six month old will be going as yoda, me as pilot Luke, my wife Leia (hey, pre empire strikes back nobody knew, right?) pictures to follow.

Nope - Dr. Evil from when he was in prison is my costume this year (it's a hard knock life uh-huh uh-huh)

I once went to a cocktail party once which had a P theme. I went as Princess Leia. My dear old grandma stitched up a white Princess Leia dress for me (I'm a 188cm tall male), she made the head braid things from a loofer (spelling) and some plaited wool, and demanded .. yes .. demanded that I wear water balloons around neck to simulate boobs.

A truly great evening .. although, I think I was the most hit-on lady of the night.

Great costume .. greater Nana!

It was between Pirate and Jedi.

I (we) have all kinds of fantastic outfits, most for Renfaire activity; but I also have an excellent Jedi outfit culled from multiple locations. I'll probably go that route.

If someone tells me how to post a photo here off my desktop, I'll put one up.

Use photobucket.

easy to upload pics to there, then just click the bottom option of an IMG link you can paste straight into forums.

We don't really do it in my area...not since the incident anyway...so much blood.

I was once at a cash point in a zombie haloween outfit withmy left arm bound up behind me under a ragged shirt...*covered* in fake blood...

A guy came up to me and said, are you alright mate.. have you had an accident (and not trying to be funny, he looked really concerned).

I said 'its ok i just cut myself shaving'

and walked off (with cash) while he looked confused :)

Thanks to Star Wars Rebels, I was able to convince my 9 yr old to use that old Vader costume I bought at a yard sale instead of going as a Ninja.

I'd have loved that as a nine year old... i made my vader costume with a cheap vac formed mask held on by elastic and bin bags wheni was that age (maybe younger, cant recall, i know it terrifed my younger cousin)!

No Star Wars costumes for us this year. My daughter is going as Rocket Raccoon and I'm dressing as Star Lord.

I have a Star Trek, original series Red Shirt.. hahaha..
