Decloaking question

By Papamambo, in X-Wing

I have a question and a request

First off, the question - Can you decloak backwards? Using the 2 straight (or bank if using Echo), can you decloak backwards?

Now for the request - someone here a while back had posted a link to a page that showed all possible maneuvers for the Phantom using the decloak. Of course I can't find it using the search function, and was hoping someone here might have it handy.

Thanks all!

1. No. Only to the sides or front (though the relative position may be backwards from where you started).

Ships can decloak "backward" in the same sense that ships can barrel roll "backward"--that is, their final position can be slightly behind their original one--but you can't place the movement template at the back of your ship.

There was a forum post with a browser tool that did this, here.

There's also an FFG article sort of on that subject, which can be found here.

Ok, so much like the Barrel roll can cause your ship to Barrel roll slightly back, I'm assuming the decloak is the same, just further to either side as you're using the 2 template. Thanks Sithborg.

Thanks Vorpalsword - this was exactly what I was looking for - I just couldn't remember the thread title.
