31st Anniversary Game?

By jackyboy, in Talisman

Soooo,

Who here is going to be playing a game on the 5th November this year? And if so what are you going to do to make it a special game? Playing with certain house rules or home-brew Perhaps here on the forum we could select a certain way to play and try to get as many people as possible to get involved. It would be good to think that like minded people around the world are playing Talisman in a specific way to celebrate the birthday or what many here (including myself) think is the best game ever made! :)

Perhaps the game could be played with all but one Talisman taken out of all decks, ensuring a bloodbath or a birthday! or maybe we could create/select a number of special characters to be used in the birthday game?

what are you thoughts people? sound good?

Jack

I have my Talisman still set for Halloween play, but haven't even played t yet.

Well you have a couple of days to get a game in buddy! :)

My friend and I had an early game on Monday as I had work today and did not know how long a game with one extra board expansion would take.

Used all the expansions, including the Woodland, and the Nether Realm by house-ruling the Gauntlet.

I started out as the Assassin but got killed.

Came up with the Swashbuckler but got killed again.

Came up with the Merchant until the end of the game.

My friend was the Warrior and seemed to draw many good cards, and not many bad ones.

By the time he got to the Lord of Darkness in the Dungeon, he had 35+ strength that he went straight to the Crown and was able to defeat the Dragon King.

It was a quicker game than last year though.

No Warlock Quests were taken, and none of the Nether Realm cards were used, although some were revealed to be nasty one i.e. killed if your attack roll is lower than the enemy's, as well as a Basilisk.
