Seconded. Not only did the TIE Phantom come from Rebel Assault, but so did Jake Farrell, so that game's 2 for 2 in terms of quality additions to X-Wing. No reason they couldn't go 3 for 3. And she flew a couple of different ships, too-- an A-Wing and an X-Wing in the first game, and piloted a TIE Phantom in RA2-- so you've got a few potentially interesting options.

I was hoping Jess Pava would be a good low ps pilot like Ryad, but after the ARC preview I have no hope.

We currently have Ibtisam but there are a number of female pilots from Rogue Squadron like Plourr Ilo (can't remember the others) which I would like to see included in the game.

Howlrunner has a name in EU fluff, but Whisper and Echo are confirmed female. Ryad and Juno as well.

Jan isn't what I'd call good or easy to fit into a list, not that the Rebel HWKs are outstanding. Nera and Ibtisam are in the same place playability wise, Nera being the better B-wing if you want to try and make her work. Hera is sadly much better as a crew than a pilot, though Sabine is a lot of fun, I guess comparable to Juno in that she's fun and just on the cusp of good.

if you're only saying "good" in regards to the meta, then the request for "good" female pilots becomes pretty irrelevent

FFG's design of the meta (assuming they even have that much direct control, given certain disastrous implementations...re phantom) doesn't give half a **** as to the gender of the pilots. It's generally just the domination of a certain ship-type or archetype which may or may not have female named pilots based on who flew said ship in the fluff

not to mention Juno is never seen in the meta. Her direct superior (Vader) is also rarely seen (no thrusters) and the phantoms, while popping up occasionally, really aren't much better.

the only meta female pilot is Howlrunner, because she just so happens to have a home in Crackswarm

and Manaroo, who occasionally pops up with her husbando

if you just want "Good" female pilots, as in female pilots that just happen to be very potent in game, then Miranda and Norra are already cream of the crop. They just happen to have very unfortunate matchups versus torpedo scouts, which goes the same for basically literally every rebel pilot that isn't ordnance spam (which gets curb stomped by aces)

what you should be asking for is a more diverse and inclusive meta in general

soon as Jm5ks bugger off, though, rebel regen can come back to center stage. In which case, Miranda and Norra will be kicking all kinds of ass

Echo was never confirmed female, FAQ says female, every article where Echo's gender is mentioned says male. Affirmative action dictates that Echo is a she. However there's an article way back if do some digging that calls Whisper a she.

It's not likely, but it's entirely possible for a Binayre Pirate to launch a single unmodified Range "1" attack at a cloaked "Whisper," roll two hits and a crit, catch her flat-footed and with nothing but blanks for defense, punch through her shields, land a Direct Hit!, and score a kill.
