thats still a hefty price to pay (flipping a damage face up) if you miss your roll with R2-D2 but i guess if the game is close and u really want to take a chance on getting back a shield it might be worth it.

Hard to argue with such an iconic ship and recognizable crew, though!

The Falcon's success isn't due to one card or upgrade but to the combination of upgrades it can run all together that make up for its weaknesses. Engine upgrade helps against avoiding concentrated fire, Title and C3P0 help make up for one agility die, Gunner/Luke make up for the fact that it has just three red dice a turn and ensures damage, and cheap Z-95s help to round out a list with 4 ships despite the expense of the ship.

I can't see that photo but there is a post up at team covenant that links to the top 32 bracket I believe.

Also if the challonge bracket is correct...it looks like a player from flight one ceded his spot as Evan Claasen (#17) made the elim bracket.

Jeff B. knocked Paul out of the Top 4 at Gencon this year using a Chewie+ Predator +Title+C3PO+R2D2 list. Paul's adapted Jeff's build here into the standard "Fat Han" layout.

Jeff's the guy that always has crazy surprising, interesting lists. He was the guy in the first Day 2 video running the weird and effective Chewbacca + Jan list. Now THAT list has some interesting choices: Chewbacca instead of Han, R2D2 crew, and a 40pt HWK (!) with Blaster Turret and Squad Leader.

That's why I always go for the TC modification on Soontir... Much more constant and lethal and thid would probably have gave him the game! But seriously a shuttle VS Echo probably the pinnacle of unfairness in this game! Hehehe

This game is getting so badly lopsided I am completely expecting fat falcon vs fat falcon build for the final table. FFG really needs to address this issue it's worse then swarm ever was.
