2014 Worlds Results

By MajorJuggler, in X-Wing

I looked up the biggest tournament wins that each of the players had. I don't have names for Regionals, so if a name is blank, and you happen to know of any major tournament wins / placement that they had, let me know and I will post it here.

Keith Wilson was the 2014 UK Nationals Winner, and he was using a tie swarm not sure what setup but I am guessing similar to Doug Kinney

I think Ica' was playing his classic swarm list (4 AP + 4 OP), but can't be sure as I didn't speak with him for a month now...

François is playing a Soontir + swarm list, he was the first player filmed in live (and lost his first battle). I don't know him, but on the table he has Howlrunner + Dark Curse + Backstabber + Soontir /w PTL and Hull + another TIE (Mauler Mithel ?).

Just wanna say my friend Icareane is the french champion :

31. Jean-Christophe Hu 20/684 (2014 French Nationals Winner)

And we have another french guy on top 10, even if he lives in USA :D

the top 10 guy Francois Fressin was using:

Soontir Fel w/ Push the Limit & Hull Upgrade

Howlrunner w/ VI

Backstabber

Dark Curse

Night Beast

A little sad to hear Ron changed his list.

That was a well flown list. My second loss of the day. Destroyed my B-wing before it could shoot, and it was all downhill from there.

MajorJuggler, since you are awesome enough to maintain this list, could you ask them to print off a new list today for you to post? After the judges posted the final list the second time, I found my name around the 60-place mark after going 4-2. My last match was recorded incorrectly, and I was told I was upper-20's/low-30's, but I don't think they printed a revised list since it didn't effect the top 16.

Thanks for keeping all this lists!

There are lots of discrepancies between the final rankings that have been posted in multiple places. Does anyone have the word on which of these lists is the actual standings?

Sozin's post above is the correct final rankings from what I understand. There was an error in the original posting that MJ is currently using.

Anyone have details on the triple phantom list that did well?

The pic above was the second posting of the final results, but I went to the judges afterward with an error, the made the change, but I don't believe they printed off the "corrected" third list.

Busy at work for the next couple of hours. Will track these changes down later today. Main thing is getting all the tournament data from FFG.

Wow...its unfortunate to hear about all these errors...they had to pair and re-pair everyone 3 times in Round 2 as well from what I understand.... Should have used the Cryodex!

That was Aaron Bonar's list Six Sigma is what he calls it.

He runs 2 Sigma's with Intel agents + Enhanced scopes + Stygian Particle Accelerator and I can't remember if he runs Echo or Whisper loaded out. The Sigma's are fantastic Blockers.

Yay Enhanced Scopes, my new favourite card! Will have to give that a whirl sometime.

I miss the x-wing stream :(

Wonder how day 2 is going...

Apparently all of the national winners that had the first round byes were entered incorrectly, and it took a couple tries to iron it out when they entered round two.

With Ryan Weissinger. (Sp?)

Day 2 update: a bunch of unclaimed spots today -- about 40 -- so they held a lottery to see which players from day 1 could play again in day 2. A lot of strong players got back in, but sadly, no Rick/National champion :-(

I'm playing (2-0 so far, yay) so haven't had a chance to check out lists.

Hmm very interesting...kind of sucks for players that signed up for flight 2 (they dont get a second chance..) and now their flight is even tougher with lots of good players getting back in strengthening the field.

Anyways, what are you running sozin? Good luck rest of the way!

Paul Heaver (2013 World Champ) 2-0 so far

Ronald Brannan (2014 Canadian Nationals Runner-Up) 1-1

What is Ron running?

I think he stayed with Fat Han from yesterday.

What is Ron running?

Updated on the first page with info from Mr. Froggies (Scott Williams) via a Team Covenant post:

Ron: Han + Predator + Gunner + C-3P0 + MF + EU; 2x Tala; Bandit
