I have been working on a hit and run build including Han Solo and Corran Horn. The idea is to burn the opposition with the chance to quickly flee away where Corran gets a chance to recharge shields with R2-D2 while Han can avoid too much heat with engine upgrade. The problem is that I find it really hard to fit those two within 100 points without sacrificing key elements of the build.
I´m trying to limit Corran to 42 points with R2-D2, FCS and VI.
That leaves 58 points for Han. Luke and MF title take 54 (I´m considering these essential). SO that leaves 4 points for Engine upgrade or Chewbacca (I don´t have C-3PO). The problem is that I really don´t want to leave Chewbacca out, I find him crucial in cancelling the first nasty crit Han receives. Engine upgrade is also essential since the concept of the build is to hit and run.
So, I start thinking. The Falcon I would like to run is VI, Luke, Chewbacca, MF and EU (63 points). That leaves me 37 points to build with. I´m still thinking E-wing here because I really fancy the hit and run potential of R2-D2. So what happens if we load the basic Knave suqdron pilot up? R2-D2, FCS and Shield Upgrade put him at 37 points. Yes I know, Knave won´t get the double tap ability of Corran or the PS 8 (or 10 with VI), but on the other hand Knave won´t get blocked. This build also gives the Knave pilot a shield upgrade to make up for it. The end-game is not too fancy if the Knave is the last craft flying since it´s PS1 but on the other hand R2-D2 is amazing in the end-game and there are 4 shields to fill up now.
What do you think? Is it better to just go traditional with 3 bandits or Biggs plus bandit?
